Anthurium, is actually a genus of about 1000 species of flowering plants. The actual botanical name of this plant is Anthurium andraeanum. So at home gardening level we will just call it Anthurium plant.
Common Names of this plant are: tailflower, painter’s palette, flamingo flower, and laceleaf.
The name Anthurium comes from the Greek words anthos, meaning flower, and oura, meaning a tail, actually referring to the spadix. This spadix is actually similar to Peace lily.

Had no idea it was poisonous! Good info. Now I know how to start flowering if I wanted to.
Definitely an irritant to skin. I was cleaning the soil off the leaves with wet tissue and touched my arms and parts of my waist. I had burning sensations and itching on contact areas.

A good informative video vowever need advice why mist of the leaves are browning around ghd edges and then these keaves dventuslly die.I have kept it in a room away from direct sunlight but with enough light exposure
