💧I’ll show you several methods of irrigating containers.💧 If you are a Container Gardener you probably wish there was a way to irrigate the containers that isn’t difficult.🌽 In this video, I’ll show you several different ways of automating the watering chores in my container garden.🍅 For vegetables, I use EarthBoxes, wicking tubs, and grow bags and the irrigation plan I show here works just great.🍉
It couldn’t be any simpler. Anyone can do it.🌾

    Automation is the only way to fly. Got a bunch of tree pots set up hugelkulture style that get hit with sprinklers twice a day with well water. Loving my switch to zone 9a gardening.

    I prefer flag emitters because if they get plugged up you can take them apart to clean them in stead of throwing them away.

    I have a hybrid kind of setup too. Same zone is connected to beds that use 360 degree emitters, and a bed that uses drip tape. Both these beds are connected same main line. But drip tape is not giving enough water for same time as emitters. How are you controlling the pressure only for the bed with drip tape and get enough water in same time run?

    Hey boss, they sell at home depot a spring action twist timer for the water system, it's like 12 bucks or so, rated to 100psi. I've had one for a couple months and its pretty dang nice to twist it on for say 18 mins and walk away. No batteries or power, it's like a old windup stovetop timer's action. Thought I'd let ya know! It's worth the few bucks to not waste the water.

    These systems are so affordable to put together that it’s ridiculous not to have one. I swear by them. All my plants are on systems, including my orchard. I’m glad to see you keep promoting them. I tell everyone they have to get on board.

    What should you do if it rains to cover the wicking tub and pvc pipe? I do not have a high tunnel and my tubs would have to stay out all winter. I’m in NE Oklahoma (Osage County). Also what kind of mulch are you using? Thanks great idea. I love your YouTube channel!!!

    Thanks for the excellent video. I am a new subscriber and am just learning about reservoir tubs. I was under the impression that all of the water was done through the fill tube but I see that you are also watering from above. How do you do the fill tube? Do you just do that manually?

    I’ve been using the Drip system in my flower beds and I use a timer because I work 12 hr shifts at the hospital. I didn’t know you could put different tips on the main hose to water GPH rates. So, especially Thanks for that bit of information. I just started using drip system last couple years. So convenient. I’ve been wanting to start a container garden and love yours garden. Thanks for all the advice & I’ll be watching/learning more. Thanks!
