İ am a 12 years old gardener and i love cacti and succulents so much if you repot cacti for few times your hands starting to dont feeling spikes so banana hack is hopeless (i am from turkey sorry if i say something wrong)

The vermiculite will actually retain water. Also, you don't need to put gravel on the pot of you have drainage holes
Can i use building stone chips instead of the pebbles at first layer?

What species of cactus is it ? What's name of this cactus
You can use toungs to remove the cactus. Watering it when dry can most likely cause root rot as cacti hold in water already. So maybe only water once only 3 weeks or when the cacti is showing signs it needs to be watered, though this depends on the cacti and where you live
