As part of a review you really should test how uniform it spreads the water over the area using a series of catch cups. Many severely over-water near the center, wasting a lot of water. See some videos of mine on how to do this.
I disagree. I thought that this sprinkler was a lot of fun to run through. I'm fifty six and this is the first sprinkler that I've been compelled to run through since I was a child. The water just called me to it. I also have the Dramm Whirling Colorstorm and the quality and spray pattern are much better than the similar Nelson that I've had for years.
Did you test it for lead? Brass does not equal toxic lead leachates, your planting in soil with more lead most likely
Hoping that someone is still checking this comment section – just bought one – but noticed that alot of water seems to spread at the base of the unit – meaning that while the lawn is being watered, the area around the sprinkler is getting a ton of water. I thought it might be a leak but dont' think so. Does the water hit that vertical piece of metal and then just deflect down to the ground?
I was hoping you would show how to set up. cause mine is floped down// worst ever. does not sprinkle just drizzles from connected areas, yuk
