  1. I read that it is also offered to cancer patients to enhance their taste buds, I wish I can grow miracle fruit here in Michigan .

  2. Thank you to Darrell and You for this video today. Wished I had know about this fruit when I was taking chemo. I wonder if it would've helped with the taste of food or at least tolerate food. I know I would have to be careful bc I have low blood sugar at times, post chemo developed. How can I order a seed, plant or from where? How do we properly germinate the seeds?
We have the red devil scorpion around Lake Cumberland and Dale Hallow. They was released as part of re-populating and a study by KY. I didn't know about them until after my closing on my house. I got one out of my daughter's room. They will casually walk across living room floor or by the door in the laundry room. I always check my shoes before I put them on for this reason. Plus I'll keep leaves away from the side of the house. I will plant plants that crickets and other bugs/pests do not like to keep them away.

  3. I grew 60+ Goji plants from seed this year and all doing well.
Also grew about 12 rhubarb from seed.
Get them to see if I can sell them but no one seems to want them which is crazy.
Gonna plant as many as I can and feed the rest to the hens.

  4. Interesting video!! Love the energy & common interests you to seem to have– the mutual respect is beautiful!!!

  5. Darrell is major cool .. can't tell you how many times he has crossed my mind as I've been working outside on something.

  6. There are brown scorpions in the South. There are hard to spot but I have seen them when I am hiking on the trail climbing out from under leaves. We had some in my house when I lived in a wooded area. People who live in the North GA mountains around lakes get them in their house. Like around Hiwassee, GA.

  7. Miracle fruit is great for people going threw chemo treatment, as they have that metallic taste and struggle to eat food. You can freeze the berries too ❣️ I hope this helps someone ❤️

  8. Thanks Darrell and Kaye for introducing me virtually to Miracle fruit. Yes, scorpions in TN. We also have them in our yard here in the desert, but I have only seen one and that was near my shed. My grasshopper problem is lessening but they are vigorous critters. Have new melons on the vines and harvested zucchini and a single string bean (first one this year). Working hard as is what we gardeners should be doing. Thanks again both of you for your fine video garden tips.

  9. Hey there kaye and Darrell, whow what a new experience, my never seen that caterpillar before hes like a ferocious teddybear caterpillar, and never heard of miracle friut, goodness me kaye, that was exiting, well done you with t h e taste ings.and thankyou both very interesting video loved it,xxsee you again next n time, xxgod bless, you 🙏. Thoughts of your mum and kitties too.

  10. I just want to come hang out with you guys. I think I could spend hours in those gardens (minus the caterpillars – it's taken me two years to stop melting down over copperheads, scorpions, and little frogs on the toilet seat at 3:00 a.m.).
This is a must try. How fun!!!!!

  11. I watched a video of a farmer that said to use jiffy cornbread mix and baking soda in equal portions to get rid of mice. It works . Mice can't burp or pass gas.

  12. Yeah see when I see limes I think of Tequila shots!! But not sure how that would work with Miracle Fruit though!! LOL!!

  13. That was great, thanks for posting, I can just see the animals in the jungle, monkeys, sloths, etc, I am sure they know about this fruit. I can see them eating it and then perusing about to eat their normal food and some they normally can't tolerate, it is a special treat for them. 😊

  14. Well I love the video really enjoyed it and I know I’ve seen him before and some more of your videos in the past I’m glad to see that you’re happy and enjoying your life that’s all we can ask anymore is it not hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie enjoy each day as it comes

  15. I don't know if you ever look at URHC, Unemployed Redneck Hillbilly Creations. He has an amazing garden, he and his wife do a lot of canning and preserving. He mentioned the other day that since he added a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to his garden he hasn't had any issues with deer

  16. Off subject but I can't wait…I live in New Hampshire and I just successfully grew my first okra plant. WooHoo!!! I planted several seeds (in the ground) and I could only find one small plant. It was only 18" tall but it produced pods – just two. I picked them at a little over 2.5" long and enjoyed fresh, tender okra for the first time! Lovely! I was dancin' in my garden with that success!

  17. How fun to have a friend like Darrell with a common passion for gardening. I love your sympatico vibe together. Looking forward to the muscadine video from tomorrow!

  18. Question for Darrel, I have a very short form of bamboo, very invasive. Originally this was purchased & planted about 20 years ago to encircle a small fish pond feature.. Long story short… it is now invading my lawn and forest area, zone 8b. I need to know what to do before it encroaches on my veggie garden…. help!!
I appreciate any advice, currently I am going to battle w a passionflower vine as well… so any info there would also be great!!! Thanks!!

  19. I saw one of them caterpillars n cut it in half. For some reason I thought maybe this isn’t a good bug

  20. I wonder if it will give sweet things a sour taste. Since a serious accident and traumatic brain injury the taste of sweet is so repulsive to me. I LOVE the flavor of tart like lemons.
If you have plantain, the herb, not the fruit, making a poultice and placing it on any sting will draw out the venom and ease the sting.

  21. I've been wanting to get one of those, I got a few things this summer. That's neat, thanks.

  22. I have a little miracle berry bush that's 3 or more years old and am seeing the first bloom…super excited to try it with Meyer lemons and grapefruit! I've been lugging that plant in and out of the green house waiting for this!
Love the hair wild and free, Daryl! Truly an interesting individual. 😁
