Edible Landscaping – Fruit Bushes – Honeyberries

Welcome back to Growin’ North! In this video my son and I are harvesting honeyberries from our edible landscaping. Watch as we explain how honeyberries grow, proper soil conditions, and how to harvest them. We also make a delicious honeyberry smoothie at the end! Stay tuned to see if my picky toddler approves of it or not! Please also make sure to check out our other videos that show our fruit patch with multiple types of fruit bushes that we grow here in northern Wisconsin. Follow along with all of our videos to watch how to grow your own food!

  1. That explains why there were so few berries. Tundra and borealis are too closely related so they don't work well as pollination partners. Add an aurora to the mix and you will get much more production. Plus the aurora taste even better.

  2. Those are some nice big plants! I am just starting with the year old plants I bought. It is good to see the new growth and how big yours are at 6-7 years old.

Do you use the PVC frame for netting for birds? Does it also work to keep deer from eating the plants?
