This video is absolute crap. The woman did not even use a lupine plant when she was "trimming it's roots" It was not informational about how to recreate the natural habitat and you did not even show viewers what a beautiful lupine looks like. If you are going to create a "how to" video don't do it half ass.
View stunning images of wild lupin at bellamoonnature
cutting destroys more rootsystem then necessary.."fluff the roots"
I absolutely agree with JeremianJJay
Go make one yourself.
Thank you for these very useful tips! I agree that lupines can be an addition to the beauty of your garden. Significantly, lupines contains healthy benefits because its extreme bitterness could fight against cholesterol. This is highly appreciated!
This video is terrible. Lupines can be difficult to grow depending on the type of soil you have. There are ways to increase the chance of germination. You would NEVER trim the roots of a lupine. Lupines have a tap root which run very deep, if attempting to cut roots or transplant it is more likely you will end up with a dead plant. You are able to propogate by taking cuttings. None of this information was provided. At the very least use a real lupine plant in the video.
I thought you should not disturb lupine roots?
She's brutalizing the roots … the roots, oh no, the roots, lady what're you doing?
The foliage sure does not look like Lupines – maybe she grabbed the wrong plant.
That did not look like a Lupine too me? Have I got it wrong?
There is nothing particularly 'American' about Lupins. There is evidence of their use over 4000 years ago in the Mediterranean. They are found all over.
They grow even in the Arctic, near the Arctic Circle in Sweden.
The plant you demonstrated doesn't have the typical foliage of a lupine which is fingered.
That's not a lupin – she's loopy
That is not a lupine that she planted! Lupines have thin pointed tips on finger-like leaves.
thats not a lupin if you cut lupin roots end of video mixed up somewhere
Is it a perennial?
I'm really starting to hate this channel. They seem to get a lot of plants wrong (Especially with this person) The plant that was shown in this video was not a lupin, it was a lady mantle plant (Alchemilla spp.). Plus, if you mess with lupine roots, it will kill the plant. The lady mantle plant, on the other hand, will not care at all if you mess with the roots. Also lupine has a tap root, lady mantle does not. Get your facts straight people, stop getting information wrong. I'm so sick and tired of it.
I lived in northern Minnesota, where it can down to 45 below zero in the winter and lupine grow wild all over the place. I’m not sure she knows this plant very well. I had them in my garden for years!
There's no lupine in the entire VIDEO!
Why not mention Canada? Sigh. it's like we don't exist
This might be the worst video I've ever watched.
wtf was this
That's lady mantle NOT A LUPIN. Glasses come to mind 🤔🤔🤔🤔
lupines have long tap roots and do not like to be disturbed.
I would never do that to my lupins.
That noise in the background is a flock of pigs warming up for takeoff.
Enjoyed your video but would have liked to have seen the beautiful Lupin around you in the video as its the main topic and you touching one in it's full glorious bloom whilst chatting on the subject would have been good 👍🙄
Who TF cuts their plant's roots with scissors??? Like i was already appalled when she started tearing those roots up by hand, BUT THEN you whip out these scissors and completely sever like a 2/5 of the roots off?! wtfffff
Thank you, really helpful.

Nice, nice, very nice. However, you can make it better. Just google Woodprix and learn how to do it easily.
Thank you for this information on lupine I am going to try these this year! Much appreciated
If I want to cut to cut the plant itself as a fodder when and how can I do it and expect it to grow again?
