  1. I was born and raised in San Antonio and probably visited there for the first time about 55 years ago or longer. This was originally the site of a cement quarry. I believe the tower is actually the chimney of a huge kiln that produced cement back about 1900. I'm now living in North Texas and really miss San Antonio. Be sure to visit the Spanish Missions if you can.
