The elegant feather looks like a wild weed that grows here in north Texas…

Packed too full!
Questions about Elegant Feather. I have my first one… It expanded and is growing tall. I was pleasantly surpised to find out they bloom Sept – Nov. Mine hasn't yet, however the top portion is turning pink along with the bark. It is so pretty with the rest of the plant still very green. So I was wondering about winter… Will it die out? Do I need to take cuttings like Coleus? Will it come back? Will it reseed itself? Can I propagate it? If so, how would you recommend? It is too large to bring into our tiny house.
Any other details would be greatly appreciated.
