DIY front yard makeover using drought tolerant California native plants. We tore out our front lawn thanks to the California drought and replaced it with a DIY yard makeover. Hope this gives you some good landscaping ideas!
Plants include ornamental rosemary, salvia and lavender, and ornamental grasses. We put down black mulch.

Boring concept
In my 50 years of gardening, you really should use a weed mat under any top layers. e.g. Mulch or the like. It is just the correct way to go 🙂
