Planting A Shade Garden Under Pine Trees | Home & Garden | Garden Design

Today Susan and I are planting a shade garden under pine trees. We got the idea for our landscape design from Home & Garden and Great Garden Ideas. The majority of the day we transplanted Hosta, Heuchera, Coleus, Rhododendron and other shade loving plants into a newly created shaded planting bed under our pine trees. Lots of hard work in what real landscapers have to work with here in New England.

  1. Just keep in mind that where and what you plant is all about your own sense of happiness. Enjoy the video and every day you garden and work to improve your back yard.

  2. Our area of N ID is also completely rocks and some roots. We just put up a cedar fence ourselves and could barely get a gas powered auger to dig deep enough to put in the fence posts. I feel your pain.
