  1. I love your deck plantings, I'm going to start a container vegetable garden this year. I've learned a lot from your videos, I'll be composting in place for starters! Lots of love 👍❤

  2. I'm with a lot of other people, I love you container deck gardening. Yes I'm thinking about my garden and I'm redoing my garden. Have you though about gardening in gallon jugs inside your plastic tubes and what your take? Also I saw on pinterest, yes I went down the rabbit hole. On the site/ app there was lots of container gardening where people took an old/ unwanted chair. They removed the seat and put a pot or bowl. Some did a wire screen or chicken wire to create a cup then add a coco liner inside the wire screen. Then planted as you would a hanging wire basket. Thank again for all you do and thank you guys especially Gary's for his video. I know it hard for him to put out these video.

  3. I have a question about hummers. I'm moving as soon as my house sells, hopefully this spring. I usually put out three feeders for hummingbirds and have some, not more than two birds at a time. Since I don't know that I will be here to take care of them and don't know who will be here after me, I'm thinking perhaps I should just not even put out any feeders this year. In my area I put out the feeders around the first week in April. Thank you for your help, I appreciate it!

  4. Robbie why not use the gallon milk jugs and other bottles with lids they put in the bottom of the containers to help hold the water on your plants? It works pretty good and I’m gonna try your compost idea this year. Thanks Robbie, love your gardening ideas!

  5. Great video as usual Robbie – thank you.
I was so happy when I found some chairs by the roadside. So I set up a large pot with some zucchini seeds in and I grew two amazing plants BUT the zukes grew for a little while and then started to rot : ( Then I found out that I should have put some lime in the soil or maybe egg shells when I planted the seeds – oh well, next time. Then I had another disaster – a plant that was so beautiful and I was so proud of just snapped off on a windy day – I didn't even think that the wind was blowing that hard : (
Re the leeks – can you eat them as microgreens? And could you use the upside down planters for growing wheat grass or microgreens? Just a thought.
Remember, there are no mistakes. That's how we learn : ) Much love X
Oh one last thing. Your readers might be interested in an invention to let the bees get a drink without drowning. The site is Aussie underthechokotree (chayote) he gives very clear simple instructions and I think it's very clever. My husband has made me five so far : )

  7. Nothing grows upside down or in the shade this sure some time wasted to never get back watching this you clearly ain’t a gardener

  8. Just found your channel! Love it 😍 just how I love to garden. I subscribed & look forward to watching your deck in progress 👍

  9. I’m gardening on my balcony since I live in an apartment. I’ll have over 200 vegetable plants on my balcony this year! I’m doing most of my planting in 88 cent dishpans from Walmart, $1 stacking planters from Dollar Tree, and cheap grow bags from Amazon.

  10. Dear Robbie, was there any snow in your side of the country, we are in Toronto, too much and heavy snow.

  11. Thank you for sharing what you have learned, trial and error. What you have shared will help me have a better garden setup. I’m planning a chair container garden in one area. Thanks for all the great ideas. I’m looking forward to the deck garden reconstruction; I’m sure it will turn out well. Blessings

  12. I am in Florida and decided this year to use my screened in Fla room as a garden to keep all the varmits from eating it. Soon as I put anything in the yard the creatures start feasting as soon as it comes up. Wish me luck because this is my first year for all containers. My potatoes, Tomatoes, Onions, and mustard greens are coming up.
Still watching my black elderberries and nothing yet.

  13. You can get free 3 and 5 gallon buckets from the bakery section of the grocery store. You just have to wash them out but they're free.

  14. Your the Master Container Gardner !! Love your videos 💪😍👍💓💗💖

  15. I've seen you grow celery in your garden containers before and I'm 99% sure you are located in my growing region (we live in Santa Clarita CA). You inspired me to try to grow some, but what I didn't realize before I bought the seeds was that it is considered "difficult" to grow… I don't care about it being blanched, but I do want thick stalks (I'm not interested in the leaves). What are your suggestions, mainly, when do you plant it and do you have to pull it out in the summer when it gets too hot?

  16. Hi Robbie, Thanks for your help with compost, hummingbirds, totes and solar fountains. Do you prune the suckers from your cherry tomatoes? I haven't heard you talk about that.

  17. When your bin composting, how do you keep it from going anorobic ???
Also I wanna see more of your guy's fish please and thank you😉

  18. Hi Robbie I’m using my soldering iron and thinking of you, I’m sure I’m not the only one! Wish I had known about this years ago when I needed this, but didn’t know I needed it. Thank you again.
