Best Watering Cans |John Dromgoole |Central Texas Gardener

Have you ever thought about the ergonomics behind watering cans? John analyzes balance and durability to pick the right one for the job. There are darling, long-lasting ones for patio plants and indoor plants. The narrow spout keeps down the “Oops, furniture spill” mess inside. Child-sized watering cans are great for small hands. If you’d rather recycle your plastic bottles for small jobs, an inexpensive option is to top them off with a screw on spout.

  1. I have just invented something which will make these totally obsolete ,and also seem quite ridiculous to be honest ! You are the first person to hear this

  2. It doesn't look so gentle when you have the rose up; some was just pouring out… Man, I'm going nuts trying to find a good watering can, even willing to spend on a Haws, but seeing the spray like that was discouraging.

  3. Some beautiful watering cans. A manufacturer ID or distributor name, would have been very helpful to find the models demonstrated in your video.

  4. If you can get hold of one, look for a „Schneiderkanne“. I just bought two 90 years old models and restored them. These were professional tools and you feel it. Nice balance, even the big ones can be used with one hand only by letting the handle glide a little lower, great water flow through the rosette so the can empties quickly but does not wash away the soil, very durable, great reselling value if you want to.
