  1. Nice, hope you already have the containers. The prices have skyrocketed – went to $ store today and was gobsmacked!

  2. In Iowa… we are getting down in the 30's tonight. I still have things growing and may try to put plastic over my plants to make them grow longer. I'd love to build a greenhouse.

  3. We are in Southern California…. my tote garden is doing great! It’s hard for me to garden down low so this was brilliant! Thank you…
People need to ask around if they have a neighborhood site. People want to get rid of their plastic chairs.

  8. Do you like blueberries? Many people detest growing them bc of the weed like nature but in a tote on your chairs? I am thinking would be wonderful

  11. Good morning Robbie! I now have 3 huge trash bags full of leaves, twigs and spent garden scraps collected from neighbors so I'm ready to starts layering my totes on my small villa patio. I was concerned about finding material in the desert but you are so right, it's out there and plenty more when I'm ready for it. I've met some really nice, supportive people and thank you and Gary for your encouragement and inspiration and laughter. Love from Tucson!

  12. You are such an inspiration. My yard was filled with hummingbirds this year (45). Even after still hanging around. I discovered the perfect v t section of my yard for a container garden. I made a cpl raised beds this year, but did not use them as efficiently as I could. I hope working in the containers will help me focus more. Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us. Stay safe and well.

  13. Oh Robbie, plz be careful with your small pooch and coyotes. They can snap up a small animal in no time. I have 2 Belgian Malinois and a Rottweiler /Shepherd mix. Big dogs. I have to go out with them their last time out for the night bcuz the coyotes are coming right up to my deck now at dark.

  14. Our first FREEZE is tonight in southern Indiana! Wish it was Spring instead so I could use all of your wonderful ideas! I truly enjoy your “ joie de vivre” and smiles! It’s obvious you enjoy what you’re doing! You got me hooked on hummingbirds, too. They just left here a few days ago… Bummer.
Again, Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you for your help I can't wait for the tomatoes in the potatoes this is Deb in Arizona with only 40 in by 40 in gardening on my studio patio balcony. Keep up the good work you're awesome.

  17. When is the right time to move lettuce? You keep teasing that thought. If you earned a dollar every time you said you Loved that chair garden you would be a millionaire.

  18. Do you donate the vegetables that you don’t want. ? I think that would be nice when you have too much. If you do. That’s great.

  19. I absolutely love your chair garden….I have chairs just have to pick up some container and I will plant away…another version of raised garden! Thanks for the idea!

  20. Hi Robbie — wonderful work with your hummingbirds — say, did you ever have a problem with bully humminbirds? We put out four feeders and immediately had several birds on them, but then one chased them all away and kept them all away. Any advice ? Thanks

  21. Hi Robbie, I have been watching your videos & learning. I really want to start doing the chair garden. Here wear i live its getting cold. Hood River, OR. 97031 I hope though to get some set up so its ready for Spring. I just wanted to ask your opinion. I have a bench with hole that is made out of same material as the plastic chairs that my mom gave me & she gave me a big tote that is longer than the ones you have. I then got some other totes for free my husband brought home. Ones he bought are half the height of your totes. Should I put the big one on bench? The other two fit side by side, but half the size of your totes. Not sure how deep they should be for things? 🤔 big one takes up long wase about whole bench except 2ft. I would share pics if I knew how. I hope i explained good. 🥰 I just love your videos!!! ❤
