  1. Hi here to Watch you sow the seeds. So relaxing love to garden especially when you can feed yourself from your own land. And have more knowledge about what you're eating because you grew it yourself.💟

  2. I haven't started my seeds indoor, but I grew some fava greens. It turned out great. I have been harvesting fava greens couple of times already. Our weather was warming 2 weeks ago and now its back to freezing temperatures in the morning and at night. I can't wait to grow new seeds I ordered online. Thanks for the information on this video.

  3. Thanks Misilla! Grow a quick crop of lettuce indoors is a great way to start the growing season ahead of your other Spring plantings.

  4. Thanks for the great video ..awesome …and I love my grow lights it has grown alot for me and I just started Cilantro and spinach….was thinking of purchasing another grow light from hidden harvest

  5. Nice video as always, Misilla! I'll try growing lettuce from seeds first time this spring, I always grew lettuce from scraps! Btw if you want a more fancier lettuce go for 'purple colored lettuce' I grew it from scraps of kitchen aswell but it bloomed beautifully and I even left a few to flower!

  6. My indoor lettuce is doing horrible in my window. It's facing Northwest. So, not the best direct sunlight. Oh well. The outside lettuces are happy 😊

  7. Hi my friend, Your lettuce looks so healthy. I started my lettuce indoors a week ago and they are finally sprouting. They usually sprout 4 days and I used heating mat. Hopefully they keep growing and the rest of my seeds I grew. My basils and parsley are growing though. Ready for them to transplant soon. Have a good the rest of the week. Salamat for sharing this video.

  8. You got some awesome tools. Hey, can you tell me where you got that miniature auger you used with you're power tool to plant your garlic? I can't find anything like that around here. I used a wood drill bit but the largest I could find was 1 1/2", it didn't do as good but it worked.

  9. Wonderful1 Awesome job sista Misilla. Love growing our own lettuce especially with all the salmonella we get every year across the usa. And now that so much of our store bought lettuce is fake plastic this is and has always been the way to grow it (right indoors). Just one last note: We stop growing lettuce outdoors since the rooftop terrace. A if not most of our leafy greens are grown indoors. Thanks again Missila for the wonderful content and tutorial.

  10. Hi Misilla! I also live in Washington. I started some spinach and mesclun greens outside and they seem to be doing well. Can I move my seeds that haven’t yet germinated outside and vice versa?

  11. Hey , hope you and your family are doing well..cool you can garden in the winter… next Monday we are supposed to have a high of 10 Degrees….not looking forward to that…..but that's Michigan.

  12. I saw that fungus gnat flying by your light. They are just crazy in my indoor lettuce. Have used a fly sticky strip and it is almost black from little buggers

  13. Hi, i was reading about the distance between plants and in general i got the info that should be about 4 inches apart. you planted quite colose together, it seems about 2 inches a part. did u see any problem with this? i think is much better to save space by compacting them as you did. thanks

  14. I always have issues of slow growth in soil when indoors compared to hydroponic. I think mainly bc they start to root rot. Lack of air circulation? In soil indoors I water one time after transferring seedlings to larger pot and the soil never dries.

  15. How do you know which ones will keep growing and producing all year round and which ones you have to keep planting every few weeks?

  16. Is it necessary to thin seeds when started off in cells? I've got 3 per cell but not sure if I can plant out as they are or if they needed thinned to 1?

    Thank you

  17. This looks very easy; I'll surely try to grow my own lettuce. What type of soil are you using? Thank you 🙏

  18. Nice video but some of the things that you said didn't make sense for the fact that you're growing inside, you're not growing outside your growing inside so the Sun and all that doesn't matter you're growing under grow lights so why would you need anything to prevent the Sun.

    MOGUL….

  19. This was a great tutorial, thank you! I was wondering how far apart to plant lettuce in containers, since I'll be growing on my balcony 🙂

  20. Thanks. Your guidance on indoor soil (3 parts cocoa coir, 1 part worm castings) particularly helpful. Any additional fertilization over the winter? How long can you expect the lettuce to last when using grow lights? I'm looking for ways to grow lettuce over the winter (Iowa Zone 5a). Compared to home grown, the store-bought stuff is like eating animal fodder. In other words, no comparison. FYI, you might try Red Sails lettuce. It's a quicker grow than other varieties I've tried, but also quicker to bolt. Nice to be harvesting Red Sails while the other varieties are still getting under way, but it's also nice to be eating Black Seeded Simpson and Oak Leaf when the Red Sails have already gone to seed. Cheers.

  21. Are all your lettuces mostly growing in 1 gallon containers? You said they are 6" in diameter, which would be a gallon container, but some appear larger in the video. Are you indeed growing 2-3 plants in a gallon container?
