How to Grow Vegetables for BIG Production, Heavy Feeders Plants, Compost Tea Leaves, Sungold Tomato

Podcast Q&A , as birds enjoy the Bird Garden with wild birds and hummingbirds. Growing vegetables in container gardening can be easy and rewarding. We grow tons of our produce that we need for all year, and most is growing in totes/storage containers, buckets, flower pots, dish pans and in the ground.

Here are the SAME Solar Fountain Kits I buy for our Yard and this is an affiliated/aff. link to the company: https://www.ebay.com/itm/204084771665?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20201210111314%26meid%3D3178bd52087f47edb157e06ac5db2e81%26pid%3D101195%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D385041948049%26itm%3D204084771665%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv9PairwiseWebMskuAspectsV202110NoVariantSeedKnnRecallV1BERT&_trksid=p2047675.c101195.m1851&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkDalmx3uitYGezFTZWs5mVbrqd80yMq7atQLRVXmwwZCnFpYtifswo6cgCvSsPy%2FT6nT5XSsDS%2Bw3BQAG7GvrbIm7pD9ZwoXsYgGOGWQ%2BO3d8TWp4tmfYOAuaOXg4Fh3d4QF4BG9%2FVkb9YgnPcMA5Cuhhn2H9d0wOnxZ9oH%2Fuywht5m%2BECPE4a01zY8G1b%2FZ2A%3D%3D&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338267736&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1

  1. I have lots of work to do, so I'm going to listen to you while I work.

  2. I’ve been using grape leaves and comfrey, and dandelion greens. I have some plantain that I add. I bought some collard greens at the store to add to my pots

  3. Robbie, I use a big trash can with holes in the bottom and large container underneath. The tree collard leaves break down by themselves, without water, and create the liquid food without the rotting smell! Well, a tiny bit of smell…

  4. My 27 gallon tote that I started in March is still producing bell peppers. They’re so happy! Compost in place👏🏽🌱

  5. I loved watching the birds as I listened and thank you so much for answering my question! I had to stop watching the birds so I could make me some notes lol. Thank you again! 😊

  6. Thanks Robbie, love seeing the birds. My hummers have seemingly all left for winter to somewhere warmer maybe? Im no win zone 8a in Middle GA where the days are in the 80''s but the nights 50-2 to like last night I think the mid 40's but it doesn't really freeze here so I don't know. All their feeders are still out for them but I've not seen them now in a couple of weeks at least. The sugar water usually will turn a little brownish when its old and needs to be refreshed but they are clear though if I take them down now, should I leave them down until after winter or should I clean them and put fresh sugar water in them anyway or leave them put up until Spring?

  7. I'm so tickled I have to tell: I've always wanted a greenhouse but didn't want to spend the $$ for one. Today I looked at my industrial size restaurant rack that I've used for starting seedlings and small pots and realized I also had woven polyvinyl shipping bags (very large) which I'd picked up for free from a local business. I took them apart and there was enough yardage to cover the wire rack – voila a winter greenhouse! I think it will work to help me through the winter here in N. Calif.

  8. Hello! Loved the new format today!! Q and A with the beautiful back drop!!! A win win for everyone!! Thanks! Happy gardening and have a wonderful day!!

  9. Hi rose from Tasmania Australia here…..look forward to your posts…you have inspired me to grow my own organic food….you are a wealth of information..thank you for sharing your garden with us

  10. I started tomatoes and peppers in my first tote and they are doing great. Planted spinach seeds, too. They sprouted but look like they are dying back. Is it too early to grow spinach in Las Vegas? Highs have been in the 90’s.

  11. What an awesome garden~
The little birds are sooo cute as well~👍
Thank you for sharing this video~🤗

  12. It's midnight😳 but just had to listen to your info about the squash and melons. Each of my watermelon plants only gave one melon. One was in a recycled blue box, fairly big and one was in the ground. I guess that's the norm. The butternut squash plant really surprised me. It had three vines grow from it and two of the squash were the biggest I've ever seen. But again only one squash per vine. I'm definitely going to do the two pot system near all my plants next year. Thanks for the info Robbie 👍

  13. How do you keep all those bird baths from drying out? are they on some kind of automatic watering system or do you just fill them up when low. I can't keep up with mine. Love your garden.

  14. Hi Robbie! I noticed that you have bowls of food for the doves. I would like to do that but I have a resident squirrel who also likes my bird seed. 😂

Do you know if they avoid tulle? I’m thinking that I could wrap the pole with it if they don’t like the way it feels.

Thanks for all of your valuable info. I gave up my big garden plot and now do tote gardening in my back yard.

  15. My zucchini I planted 2 months ago is still producing fruit, I covered it tonight bc frost predicted & two more are growing. I’m very happy with how many I’ve gotten from her. Thanks to you!

  16. Hello Robbie and Gary🤩Love your video🤩Would you like to add some solar garden lightings? We are a brand called gigalumi, would love to collaborate!🥰

  17. Hi Robbie, I have been enjoying listening to your recent videos while I do my chores. ( I watch them when I take my afternoon break) I especially enjoy the birds songs and sounds in your videos. We have fewer varieties of birds here in Tucson, Arizona…. desert doves, Gila woodpeckers, hummingbirds and a few finch. I love the variety of birds songs you attract there. I am working to attract more birds by providing the right habitat and seeds/flowers. Sure love your bird garden.
