Thanks for visiting the Freshcutky organic gardening channel. In the garden, I will answer some of the most common “gardening for beginners” type questions I get, including growing flowers from seed. Growing greens, growing flowers, and planting beautiful organic food is something I’m really passionate about. Thank you for joining me as I learn to grow flowers, cut flowers, vegetables, and much more. Freshcutky youtube channel and related media are for entertainment purposes only.

Many ornamental flowers and cut flowers are TOXIC. ALWAYS do your own research and take responsibility for the plants that you introduce around your kids, pets, and everyone else. Use common sense when handling plant materials: wear gloves, always wash hands, avoid contact with face, etc. NEVER consume any plant which has not been positively identified with complete certainty to be safe and edible. Before planting anything, research to determine whether specific flowers are considered invasive where you live or if there are laws that apply to their planting in your area.

What is “@freshcutky”?

@freshcutky documents the pursuit of my goal of one day owning my own cut flower farm. Along the way, you’ll see random projects, cooking, and of course – growing stuff. I’m not an expert, and would never claim to be. There’s always more to learn – this is my journey. The purpose of my blog, and other social media accounts (including YouTube) is to share ideas. I do my best to offer information that is useful, but reliance on that information is strictly at your own risk and NOT a substitute for professional advice of any kind. I do not create sponsored content or use affiliate links unless they have been explicitly stated above.

  1. Wow! So much potential here and so much beauty. Salvage everything you can and get the foundation sorted, prop up the house. Your gardening video's are lovely, so excited to see this renovation. And all that land!!! This is amazing, you will work your magic here dear lady. Been wondering what your name is, whatever it is you are fabulous! Please keep that amazing staircase, it is beautiful!!!

  2. Congratulations! Seems like it is just the right size of house and "yard," not too big, not too small, but just right. Can't wait to see what you do with the place!

  3. Thank you so much for the tour! Your photos on Insta have been so intriguing. Wow! So excited for you.😊

  4. Congratulations! You are not going to have any problem coming up with content for quite a while and I'm here for it. 😁 This is going to be fun watching the transformation. Oh and get the place saged and make friends with the spirits 😬😁

  5. I bought a 1900 “farmhouse” (only a half acre) but completely surrounded by dairy, cattle and horse farms in 2020 during COVID. It’s next door to a church from the 1800s with a cemetery from that era. Best thing I ever did. A heartfelt congratulations to you. Can’t wait to follow the adventure ❤

  6. Honestly, the skakiness of your camera when you went upstairs did make it look creepy!! 😅😅
It looked like home video footage from a scary movie! 😅

  7. OHHHH MY GOSH!!!
    HELLOOOOO!!!

It's funny, I was just thinking of you yesterday morning, just right out of the blue, for no reason at all, – you and your channel popped into my head.
I remember things were getting difficult for you, I thought maybe you had thrown in the towel on keeping up the channel.
    AND NOW HERE YOU ARE!!!
    Ha!!!
It's so good to hear from you!!!
    And with such FANTASTIC news!!!!!!!!!!
    Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And hey- I grew up with that very same green & yellow linoleum in my mom's kitchen!!
She chose it in the 1970's!
So you're better off in the "updates" than you thought!!
    Hahaha!!
While it does look like a whole lot of work, it also looks magnificent!!!
I sure hope you're planning on remodeling with us in on it too!
    I LOVE a good,
    and REAL,
    DIY!!

    I'm so HAPPY for you!!
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  8. Congratulations! Thanks for the squirmiest alert-that’s a big project but you know that-best of luck and looking forward to progress updates.

  9. Congrats on your new farm! We bought a brownstone from the 1800s & it was a hot mess. It had been abandoned for quite some time, so we had our work cut out for us. In the end it was so worth it and I hope you have the same experience. Document your progress because it is so fun to look at the before and after. I can just imagine how lovely the grounds will be under your care.

  10. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for you!! Can't wait to see how you make this into your gorgeous flower empire 😀

  11. Im so excited for you. doing happy dance for you. 30yrs ago we purchased a 1900 home that was vacant for some time due to owner passing. It was and is a labor of love. Take your time, prioritize. Do Not go in like a 'bull in china shop'. We had to jack up house, replace sills, fix main beam before we could even move in. Just take your time. There will be alot of sweat and tears; so worth it.

  12. How fabulous!!! I'm not a cemetery type but I hope you can research them and can bring some beauty there! As an antique dealer – I wish I was closer to you! Hang onto the things you like! Good luck, I hope we get updates on the house as well as the farm (it's a farm, you get to call it a farm!!)

  13. So excellent to see you start something this daring and exciting! Wishing you every success and good luck. The amount of work looks nuts hard, meaning it’s going to be a huge win. You’ll make it homey, and the flowers will grow like weeds. 😊

  14. Wow fixing it up will definitely have to be a labor of love! I don’t know your beliefs but I would sage the upstairs and maybe say a prayer/blessing just in case.

  15. We bought an old cabin. The walls were full of field corn. (thanks mice) LIttle by little we turned it into a pretty little get away. Hold onto your vision. It will come!!

  16. This is amazing!! We jacked up our old farmhouse, now it’s so impressive and people love it so much. They have no idea how far we came, they think that we are rich because our houses is so big and has such gorgeous details like yours

  17. I love it, it's an adventure. So happy you found property you can make your own. And all that land to grow everything your heart desires. I think whoever planted all the nice plants will be so happy their place will be beautiful again. I'm even intrigued with the cemetery, from that distance looks like a tall marker out there. Congratulations on seeing your dreams coming to fruition.

  18. Congratulations on your farm! I'm so excited to see what you do with the place.

  19. As.some pushing 80 who has done.restorstions since i was born because my parents did…as long as its in the dry.
    ..u will be ok.

  20. Make sure when u paint ..ESPECIALLY kitchen use that NEWISH PAINT from.sherwin williams

..OMG…I CAN ATTEST…BEST DAMN STUFF EVER MADE…AND TEST ALL ROOMS IF ITS OIL OR ACRYLIC…DO NOT ASSUME…I DID not trst all rooms ON MY LAST HOUSE AND IM SO FUCKED NOW FOR IT..U USE RUBBING ALCOHOL TO TEST THE PAINT.

  21. Always wanted to find a house full of stuff..ive personally redone about 12 houses….once the saw dust clears i gotta move cause thats what we did as a kid…if i was close i would be there like a major plant pest for the adventure…i hate getting old..

  22. I watch the channel where the family is.reatoeing a.french "chautue"…omg…its like taking on the empire state building but that boy is DOING IT!!! Its in the dry now and he is doing it RIGHT TOO..ITS BOGGLING WHAT HE HAS DONE…AND DISCOVERED.

  23. Congrats on your hot mess! I once googled cheapest house in my state… I live there now. LOL! I know the allure. It didn't have central heat and still doesn't. I live in the north, but have thought zone heating and cooling and that works for me. The cemetery is probably a family cemetery. Some local genealogy group might be able to help you out with what is up with it.

  24. I didn't even watch the video yet, saw your title, and was like, "OMIGAHHHHH YESSS GIRL CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!"

  25. What a dream come true, congratulations! It's beautiful, spacious, and all yours! I can't wait to see progress updates (if you're willing to share that is).

  26. I love that you show what you are starting with. Someday you will look back at this and see just how far you have come.

  27. That’s awesome! Congratulations! I feel like that house might have been occupied by someone elderly who eventually could no longer care for it. The universe is happy that it’s now in the care of someone who can bring it back to life.
