  1. Glad your family is okay. My forest is much younger but all the trees are fine except one of my papaya

  3. WOW…was wondering how you guys fared, such a mess, been there, so glad I have a smaller yard now at my age, but thankfully it bypassed Jax. We're getting some outer band winds right now and light rain, but nothing to speak of destruction wise, all my plantings are fine…good thing you got the mighty crew there of the Queen Anne's Revenge, you'll have it ship shape in no time…take care!

  4. What matters the most is that you guys were safe. The poor bananas tho 🙁 but I always feel there's always a good side to a situation. You now have the opportunity to grow more new bananas considering how fast they grow, new and more plants and overall new beginning in some way.

  5. So glad you all weathered the storm well other than the gardens. One of my first thoughts was of your family as I saw the storm track head south of me in Volusia county and in your direction. My street, which sits high, fared well but a lot of trees down and flooding in Orange City and DeLand. Lot of clean up to do in my garden so am glad the weather is going to be cooler the next few days (62 degrees here this morning). You are going to have quite a bit more sun since those palm fronds are down!! Thanks for sharing the video. Don't know if you follow Wild Floridian yt channel over in St. Pete but she fared pretty well too after worrying they were going to take a direct hit.

  6. Im in orlando in order to save my banana plants that still have a ways to go i cut off all the leaves and they were not damaged.the only ones i left the leaves on are the ones gearing banana fruit.

  7. I live in Pensacola Fl. We are thankful you guys are ok. I know you will persevere and get your garden going again. Praying for you and all those impacted by the storm

  8. Hi guys, glad you are all safe, not flooded, and so sorry for your yard damage. 💔 We took a hard hit in Cape Coral and oh my, it was overwhelming. We have a good handle on things at this point and still cleaning up 2 weeks later. When our plants were blown over or even blown out, all the soil blew out too! So after replanting, staking or uprighting everything we had to add soil. There were 6" holes everywhere!I honestly cannot believe anything survived 150 mph winds. Some tattered, some shredded, some broke. I believe the youngness of our yard helped. Also wish we had trimmed more stuff ahead of time knowing what I know now, especially on the bigger trees. Amazingly it seems most stuff is putting out new leaves at the 2 week point now and we are very happy! The bromeliads were so dried out that we still cannot keep the cups wet with every other day watering, so we continue to help them. Also have 4 plant hospitals in shade for recovery of severely injured plants and rooting broken pieces. Hang in there, we will all get through this plant friends!
