  1. I searched easy composting and hey girl we have the same name lol just flip flopped. Spelling and all

  2. Once you add your food scraps do you add more dirt on top of that are you doing you start another container

  3. Aiming to do the same thing but adding worms and a few additional holes in the side. When you do that and part bury the box with the lid clipped on… You've basically got a home made Subpod… (which is over 100 dollars so, no way lol)

  4. Do you keep layering it? Like when you go dump more food in the bin, do you have to add more soil grass, cardboard newspaper ? How often do you stir? How long before it’s ready?
    Ty

  5. Makes a 13 dollar compost bin for outside, buys 30 dollar compost pail for inside.

  6. TIA! I told my wife we could just use a $13 plastic bin. She wants an $80 custom made "compost bin". Yours was ready in 5 mins!! 😎 She told me I was crazy and it would look tacky in the yard, I said it's just compost, not a bird bath.

  7. I imagine those sticks at the bottom would take a long time to decompose.
I like throwing all my kitchen scraps into a blender first. Grass clippings work amazing too.

  8. 100% gonna make this! I have over 30 species of millipedes and 40 isopod species that eat compost and I’m sick of buying it from others 😅

  9. Thank you for sharing!! I want to start composting but don’t want to buy an expensive compost bin right now. I’ve got all kinds of kitchen scraps ready and going to buy my plastic bin today.

  10. Thanks for this video Kaitlyn I'm starting a garden in containers and want to make my own compost 👍🏾

  11. also for indoor composting: just take a tupperware container or like yogurt tub and put it in the freezer – no fruit flies, no smell and no wasting unnecessary plastic

  12. Great video…Worms should find they're way to your bin, but if not you might wanna think about getting some "red wrigglers" * That's a type of worm. Thanks for the video. Have a wonderful weekend.

  13. Thanks for the tutorial. I followed your instructions exactly except I added holes on the sides of the bin as well. Nice tutorial! Do you have a video on how to add to the compost bin after the initial setup? How often to turn the materials, etc.?
