Progress on the rubbish pile has stopped when dangerous materials are found. Plans are being made on the new whiteboard.

City of London council organises the collection of asbestos disposal on behalf of all London councils (with the exception of Hillingdon council – see below). City of London offers a free collection for the first 15m2 or 7 rubble bags. If you have any more than that, you will have to pay. 1. Yes be very careful with asbestos. My late allotment buddy died in January from lung cancer caused by asbestos from when he was a carpenter 40 years previously. Shame as I was hoping to gain his allotment knowledge from working our plot over 25 years.

Those pallets will make fine compost bays.

  2. Great whiteboard for creative planning ideas. Enjoy your time chillin at the plot.
3-2-1, you just need a 🗑dusty bin now for your rubbish☺️

  3. You have alot of rubbish to take to the dumpster (oh…the tip as you would say in the KINGS English)….is there something close by…..and stuff for the burn pile….oh my gosh….the wind is always blowing around here and it's been so dry here I wouldn't take a chance….it for sure would get away….

  4. I am completely envious that you can actually still plant anything this time of year….over here across the pond in 'Canuckland' gardens are being tilled over and put to bed for the winter….snow arrives in a few months and the only thing that grows out there are snowdrifts! ha ha ha

  5. If you have B&M near you, they are selling 50ltr bags multicompost for £2!!. Like you I do love a bargain, stay well. ❤

  6. Sean never move asbestos get someone in to take a sample and test it for the type there are 3 types,. just because its hard and you cant see dust it is still toxic and should never be moved only with specialist masks and equipment stay safe

  7. I'm in Texas where it's still hot & dry. Wish I could have a bon fire without burning down the whole d**n state.

  8. Great work Sean! Your thoughts on beetroot reminded me of what happened with Rickvanman all those years ago. He hadn't liked the veg until he grew some on his plot for his mother. He tried it and it changed his mind completely. It goes to show how growing your own can make a big difference to the flavour. Oh, and be careful with your idea about a peach tree! If it becomes as rampant as ours you'll be constantly having to prune it back to see out the shed window! 😁 Damn thing hasn't given us any fruit though! All the best, David

  9. Spent the weekend pulling weeds, dealing with hay fever and still managed to plant some seeds for the fall garden. Keeping my eye on tropical storm Ian ifI need to pull everything in later this week.

  10. Hi Sean, White board looks great! Got an idea for you for a video – Soundscapes. We just came back from Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado and went to a very interesting outdoor Park Ranger Talk on Soundscapes. He asked us to listen to the sounds in nature and watch the sky for a minute and tell him what we observed. Comments were a jet overhead, bird song, Elks bugling – many people said how relaxing they found it. I often hear sounds during your videos so thought it might interest your views. Just an idea! Catherine from North Carolina.
