The colors of the trees in the Japanese garden I often go to made me to try to do another outside painting in my watercolor moleskine sketchbook. I wanted to capture the vivid yellows and reds of the leaves and the interesting snow protection made with white ropes. This task proved to be quite a challenge to paint only with watercolors so I decided to use my COPIC multiliners and some white opaque paint to do the details.

Technical stuff:
* Medium: Moleskine watercolour sketchbook
* Colours: My 38 colors watercolor set
* Lines: Copic Multiliner SP 0.5mm and 0.7mm
* White: Dr. Ph. Martin’s BLEED PROOF WHITE

  1. So lovely! Did I understand correctly that you mixed the white paint with a little bit of watercolors to add the opaque details?

  2. Holy moly! That last detailing bit where you do the leaves and branches just blew my mind. Wishing you the best in all your pursuits. Thank you for demoing your knowledge.

  3. correct me if I'm wrong: I guess that you're Polish. Great art anyway !

  4. How do you make the white line strings really perfect? ●0● it's so perfect!!

  5. So beautiful <3 I love the colors blending in this one. Do your inks never bleed under your watercolors? I've had some experiences with the inks bleeding and I'm not sure whether it's the ink's fault, the watercolor paper's fault, or if it's the amount of time I wait between inking + painting.. it'd be great if I can get your expertise. Thank you!!
