Easy project for gardening help. I built a replacement for the B&D battery pack used in several gardening tools. Tired of having to buy new battery packs every year or two, I decided to use instead the power from the house outlets. So, I built a device that provides the required 18V with enough power to satisfy the requirement of any of these gardening tools.
As a bonus, the new power pack provides a means to control the speed of the tool motor.
The thing was put together using pre-assembled components: a power supply and a motor controller or regulator.
