Barebones Hori Hori Review

I recently bought this barebones hori hori knife and here I give you a little review of the knife. This is not a sponsored video, I just bought this and believe it’s the best hori hori I have owned to date. If your looking for the best garden hand tool or a survival knife this would be a great option.

  1. Well done Mr Josh!! Really enjoyed the review on the Hori Hori and the bottle opener is sweet, ya can get your dig on AND have a way to pop a cold one lol!! Dan

  2. Well talk about thinking of everything. I like the little metal piece on the end too for hammering. I have painting and caulk scrapers that little metal piece and it does have an handy all the time.
Josh you're a lefty eh. Well that explains a lot……. Just kidding lol.

  3. Thanks for the explanation of the Hori Hori and how good it would be for gardening. Seems really handy to have. I use my schrade schf 9 like a Hori Hori. That thing is a beast.
But as far as a survival knife or a backpacking knife I think there are much better options then the Hori Hori. I feel like the average hiker would be better off with a mora 511. It’s an $8 knife. Shipped to your door. It’s super light and sharp. It’s a good light duty knife. You’re not gonna use it to fell trees and build a cabin. But you’ll use it to help start a fire and open packages reliably for years.

  4. Just when digging couldn't get anymore manlier, now you can stab the ground and pummel! I'm sold.

Now I want an axe that doubles as a shovel but not a hoe or a pick, does it exist?
haha I would call it a
    'Ground Cleaver™' patent pending.

  5. just bought mine yesterday; tested this morning … it's wonderful! i'm watching so i know how to use it properly. thanks!

  6. I have that exact one and I love it! I feel like a madwoman walking around in the garden with it. I’m sure my neighbors think I’m crazy.

  7. I had no idea what this was at first, but looking at it for months thinking why the heck a WWI trench knife was being featured. I just got one, and gifted it to my mom. She knew right away how it would exceed what she currently used and frequentlynreplaced in her garden.

  8. Love my BBL hori hori! Especially the carbon steel blade. It can be sharpened much more easily than shiny stainless steel.

  9. Hi, thank you for your review!
Can we found the same one with stainless steel and leather case How? How much does it cost?

  10. I saw this nice knife on IG then find some review on YouTube then I found your review, very good review and I think I will buy this 🙂 cheers.

  11. Thanks for this review! This is one of our favorite tools, we also have left-handers in the office who are advocating for a left-hand version. 🤞

  12. I got one for my Birthday to replace a Fiskar aluminum Hori hori. The Fiskar broke. Right in the middle of my tater harvest. I like it a whole lot.

  13. I got the same knife from bespoke post and though I haven't gotten a chance for practical use I can already tell that I'm not a fan of that handle at all

  14. “Any tool that can open a bottle is a winner in my book” 😂👍 give me a rock n ill open any bottle lol
Great review ! This is all i needed , about to place my order tonight.

  15. Imagine using a bottle opener on a twist-off lol
But seriously, thank you for this review. I was about to buy a hori hori with a bad sheath, lower quality steel, and no pommel or twine cutter, but now I'm definitely getting this one. The clip on the sheath is a hard feature to find!

  16. Love the video! Love this hori hori!
I was just thinking, if they put the serrated edge on the other side for us lefty’s, we would just have to switch hands anyways to use the knife lol. Guess whatever you use most.

  17. thanks for this review, answered all my questions, even some I didn't have yet! Can't trust Amazon reviews…Does any tool, pruners for instance fit into the little loops on the front of the sheath? Love your pointing out the flat edge for thumb placement and in the sheath. You obviously have used this knife. thanks.
