  1. Funny our home is in between a country and a contemporary anyhow the kitchen is like a tube, with window on either end. The light is poor become of a covered porch on one end. The trim is a dark green, I chose sage colored cabinets because I felt having all the cabinets dark would kill the light in the room and the sage color was almost a pastel it reflected much better. Does not match trim but does blend in well. This was 7 year ago before the green trend, don't go with trends go with what inspires you.

  2. Had this color for 30 years, always enjoyed it. Warm homely calming

  3. I like it, however you might paint the trim around the window set a color that ties everything together once the green and white are in the locations you want. It would likely be one of those two latter colors.

  4. I looked more orange when you started to paint …inside it seems better …
Is it more orange when you have lights on in the evening ?
If you moved the plants from the waterhouse , mice will probably not be back …they were after food .
And I don't know about the sunflowers …it's very late in the season for them .
Next year you could try to start them early in pots on the windowsill …march / april , you can get them out in may after the frost is over .
The pie looks mouth watering good !

  5. I love the terracotta I actually want to paint one of my bedroom walls a color close to this and the other walls a med tone gray

  6. Rosie you are so amazing I so enjoy all your videos and being on this journey with you thank You โ˜บ๏ธ for sharing your Life with all of us I look forward to all your videos โ€ฆ..Thank You Rosie

  7. I Love your kitchen and the color adds such warmth will be awesome throughout the winter โ„๏ธ

  8. I suggest to also paint the inside of your outer window with the same color. The green becomes a lot against the terra-cotta. Love both colors – but they are competing โค๏ธ

  9. That pie looks SO good, Rosie. You know, if you ever need to call in reinforcements, you can just bribe us with pie. We'll jump in the car whenever you need ๐Ÿ˜

  10. I like your choice of color for the winter windows, we call them 'storm' windows where I'm from in US. I used a similar color called 'Salmon' for an accent wall in a large living room and loved it. Your pie had me wanting to jump into the screen and join you. Yumm

  11. Hi Rosie…
    A touch of Frost….
Yes season changes and so does all nature…
I love your window colour. Its an old colour
    Very causy…looks good…

  12. A word of warning! Be very careful with those tea light heaters! Four candles inside is too many. This heater can explode. Tea lights should have a good gap between them. Blessings to you and your little house! โค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค—

  13. Rosie, I love your channel, so calm and you are so positive in your approach – no fear! But I worry about you keeping warm now into winter. I donโ€™t think there is any way around getting that chimney fixed and an oven installed. Will be cheap in the long run with all the free wood outside ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. I like the idea of the terracotta more than the result. I think it would look really nice as an accent somewhere with lighter walls or a more dramatic color scheme. It looked really pretty next to the sage green swatch you have. In this case, the windows look a little dark to me, but not dark enough to be of visual interest. Because of my personal taste, I would have gone for a light color in a similar tone to the blue that was already there. The windows are an opportunity to frame the view and add interest to the room, so either a noticeably darker or lighter shade than the surrounding wood would be really lovely. But if you like it, that's all that matters. It still looks nice, and you can always change it another year if you find it's not working out lol. That's the beauty of paint!

  15. We called them storm windows in Virginia. They kept cold air out and created an insulating air pocket.

  16. Put the green tomatoes next to some red ones inside in the window, and they will get red too ๐Ÿ…โค๏ธ Love following you and watching your videos ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผโœจ Happy autumn to you ๐Ÿ’š

  17. Choosing paint colors can be so difficult – the color on the finished surface almost always looks different than the samples. I like the color very much. Nice thing about paint is it is easy to change. If you decide it is too light you could experiment with blending a tiny bit of one of the greens with it. Or even mixing it with a small amount of the dark stain you used in the toilet room. You might get a nice color, or you might get rubbish. In the U.S. these are called "storm windows", but "Winter Windows" is much more poetic and a better name. That pie looks delicious!!
