Growing Potatoes and OVER 10 Other Vegetables in My Front Yard Vegetable Garden | June Garden Tour

Growing Potatoes and OVER 10 Other Vegetables in My Front Yard Vegetable Garden | June Garden Tour

We are growing potatoes in our front yard garden for the first time ever, and they are breaking through the soil now.

We are so excited to share this tour of our front yard garden. We take advantage of as much of our yard as possible to transform it into garden space. While many people limit themselves to a backyard garden, we take advantage of our front yard as well.

We are growing a bunch of different items in our front yard, including potatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, dwarf okra, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and more.

In this video, we give you a tour of our front garden space, and we talk about some of the benefits of growing in our front garden. We hope you enjoy this tour, and if you have any questions we can answer, please let us know in the comments.

Thank you so much for watching!

  1. This is an interesting video!!
I am definitely interested in more info on the peppers… For example, at what stage of growing, can you top the plants. I would also like to know more about growing beets. What are the germination and maturation dates, etc.
I have planted beet seeds, and it seems that they’re taking a while to come up.

  2. Tried rat tail radish this year! Its delicious. Especially sauteed with my fresh carrots and beets. Raw has a peppery taste good for salads but one plant grows tons of pods which saves space cause it grows like peas.

  3. I have problems with borage it spread both in front and back I cant get rid of it but the flowers are so delicious. Taste like sweet cucumbers which are great to snack on when I am working in the garden on a hot day🤗

  4. I'm surprised. you need to expand your tomato variety. You grew the common ones but your so much more adventurous than that. Next year try the big rainbow. Big tomato that looks like color of sunset. Very good. This is the first year Im trying the cherry tomatoes called Isis.

  5. Front yarden is looking good my friend. One of these years I may expand into the front as well, and I'll be stealing some of your ideas.

  6. TIPS: How about a hanging bush tomato hanging in clusters from the top level in your vertical structure. Would look nice!

  7. In the beginning of the video it looked like a sign or a poster of some sort, with something written about Sweden, yes? I am Swedish, living in Stockholm, Lat 59, Long 18.

  8. It was a Too Short video. I would love to have seen you actually working in the front yard Garden and to learn more about each of your varieties.

  9. Glad to see someone on YT in zone 5 – I'm starting out in Madison and I'm glad to have someone in Wisconsin talking about what works/doesn't work for them!

  10. Hi, I'm a subscriber to your channel. your videos are very informative! I'm growing potatoes for the first time, and growing them in containers. I have 14 plants, and I noticed one right now is just showing signs that it's going to bloom. Should I pinch the blooms off? I Googled, some say to take blooms off so you will get bigger potatoes, other answers say it doesn't matter? I sure would like to get some potatoes. HELP!!!!
