A week in the life of a self employed gardener
This is a project I recently took on for an existing client, we were doing a lot of different jobs around the property over the space of a week.
It’s the week in the life of how to be a self-employed gardener
It’s the first time I have used the Easy-Lift Harness, doing some hedge cutting, soft landscaping, and lawn mowing. This video was filmed over 4.5 days at one location.
I have added links below.

Amazing video as usual I'm starting to look for apprenticeships for next year what do you have to do one day College as well as your apprenticeship
What length do you cut your grass? it looks a good bit longer and healthier than other people cutting grass, more carpet like.
Your work is absolutely class 👌
Super video
Great advice to take on board & nice to know what equipment a specialist is using. …..

Stihl’s a great company for gardening equipment, made in Germany too!
No way I have the best job, helping folk walk.😃
Made the place look superb client must be chuffed. 👍🏼
I have been in my garden sorting it out and I’m 16 so I’m about to go to college but I have realised I really enjoy gardening and want to take it on as a career do you have any advice ??
Robbie my man your full of tricks. Thanks again 🇬🇧 Leicester
Awesome stuff thanks for the tips 👍
Very intresting video 👌
I's want to oil or otherwise treat that table and chair set well ahead of a function to bring the grain out. It's unlikely there was enough time between when the video was filmed and the garden party.
Lawns are things of the past, Artificial lawns with good drainage are taking over. Golfers love them for their short game and no work needed. Just roll up in the winter and store in the garage.
Great guy, great service.
Great video, subscribed 👍
What was the first piece(S) of equipment you started out with? You have something for everything!
How did you become a gardener? Did you do an apprenticeship? Considering switching careers and becoming a gardener. Seems very satisfying and rewarding!
I want to start a business from scratch … Should I take some courses where should I start ?
How you finding the harness
I found the Elephant trunk harness give me a band back so stop using it now using cordless hedge trimmer..Good video I really enjoy watching your videos.
Great video as always Robbie. Keep up the good work. Very informative and educational. Can I pose a few questions please?
1. What would you say the start up costs would be to invest in equipment.
2. What equipment would you suggest as your top 5 items to get going initially to allow you to operate.
3. Other than YT, what advertising methods have you used to build your business.
4. In terms of waste disposal, how do you manage this.
Thanks in advance.

I am currently earning 22k on a care farm. I am fed up and would like to become a self employed gardener. Would it be worth quitting a 22k job to go self employed if there was enough work?
Ohh that harness would do my head in, looks ridiculously restrictive.
Just hold the motor close to your hip to make it easier on yourself
I wanna know I to be where do I call start
