A good question.
Theoretically there should not be any. In practise the lass has made a neat, 12" heap of topsoil, compost and manure. So she now has a rich, well drained and easily worked garden area without the trouble of digging up the lawn and discovering that 1" down it is pure builders' rubble. You are right about the strimmer. The trouble with boxes is that the soil is so rich that you only need
turn your back and everything is covered in weeds.

All of the connectors can be purchased at Home Depot. They also sell 4×4 and 8×8 pre-fab raised garden beds. I just purchased one yesterday 🙂

Raised gardens are really cool and they are not messy. I like my garden organized and this is defiantly the way to go
