Have you stopped growing and selling Vegetables? If so is there a Video with your reasons?
Do you ever plant a border of one flower to protect the others – like the poisonous to voles ones around the ones they want? Does companion planting make sense for flower farming? – had to add another question. For the tulips that come up really short like the multi flower ones, would it make a difference to pick them on the 2nd year?
I only grew about 40 aveyron tulips last year you won’t be disappointed. they were huge and gorgeous
Hi Serena, I'm so excited to see your spring show. They all look beautiful. Question, if I cut the tulip flower off the bulb once bloomed and leave the bulb in the ground would it come back year after year?
narssissis – no K!
why do you pull the bulb
I hope you guys will actually plant all the bulbs (thinking about how things went this season with succesion planting etc. …) Nice variaties !
Thankyou for putting the flower pictures up as you talked about each one. When you don’t I have to Google them as I watch lol
Look out Serena has her pink Charlie's Angel's jump suit on! I love it Serena! I can remember when Ian was against flowers as the main money maker and you proved him wrong. You bring joy!
This channel is so cute and so much fun! Love the video ❤❤
You're crazy, an hour long video xD
Do you dig up last years bulbs such as daffodils and tulips then replant fresh bulbs?
OMG. You have gotten so far ❤ someone to look up. Our season was so terrible 😢 but in the end I made it to my first farmers market. Not flowers – they just started to bloom – after first frost – but are super small 😂 but we had huge harvest off apples instead. I was so scared, had panic attack this morning – but your voice was in my head – you started from zero, you started as new – why I can’t I start? And it went beyond my expectations. So thank you 🙏
Why don't you sell bulbs in the road stand? I would pay for a "red roof farm mix". This could make financial sense. You have more bulbs than my local retailer. 30$ for 20 bulbs?
Over here in UK, daffodils and narcissi go in now, and tulips beginning November into December so long as the groung isn't frozen.
I have found that when I plant daffodils and grape hyacinths with crocuses and tulips the voles leave them alone.
I buy my Copper Image from Van Noort
I think you may have the most beautiful bouquets of all the youtube gardeners I follow.
Tulips very rarely return after a few years .they hate wet soil. Unless you lift them and store them in a cold cellar they generally rot . I have planted thousands and thousands of bulbs over 30 yrs. The mice, squirrels ,rats etc love them in their winter diet . I hope you prove me wrong and good luck in your planting endeavours
Deer really love to eat tulips just as they are opening.
Omg the Pick Star, are you kidding rite now? How is the tulip really real ? 🥰
I can hardly wait to see all of the bulbs in bloom next year! Kudos to you!
How do you protect your tulip bulbs from voles?
So happy for you guys, this has been such a great year for you!! Just keep getting bigger and better! Thanks for bringing us along 🤩🥰
what has vitamin to do with tulipes? Do you plant them all by yourself ? then you might need some vitamine.
Does anyone cover their tulips like with a high tunnel or even low tunnel to ensure they have tulips for Easter? Thanks all. Love love love this content. It is so helpful. ❤
Living my tulip shopping life through you! I'm always up for your impulse purchase(s) 🤣
You don't leave your bulbs from last year
So very excited for you!
You could call your extra special bouquets the Serena Special.
Instead of using the chicken wire in the trenches try using half inch hard ware cloth to keep voles digging threw.
So exciting to see what you have planned in terms of tulips for next year. Can’t wait. A suggestion Serina ….. set up the tripod to videotape these kinds of blogs where you are basically stationary. So Ian doesn’t have to babysit the camera and be productive helping elsewhere.
