Can I ask when are you going to start calling the off road property " HOME " 🏡 ?
What company is the coop from
I had to chuckle at how much the chickens protested when you took them out of the first coop. They didn’t seem very impressed with the idea.
How about providing a link to the chicken coop? I did not see one.
Way don't you get Maremma sheep dogs to guard your life stock they are the best for chicken and all your life stock
Get cheap chicken wire enough for couple acres to close off the chicken coupe and put 2 guard dogs in there you will never have any predators make shore your goats are in same closure no problem with predators. You can always move fences as you need.
What is a bet that coyote will dig a hole under and have a fiste
Vosker cellular cameras work well
I would suggest something that's uh, solar powered uh, camera that you can see from your phone all the time and if you get the right one it could alert you to an issue and then you could deal with it immediately. Uh, something like a Ethernet based, you know, goes back to a receiver that you could even. Pull up on your TV or computer monitor.
This is more work for you, but I would suggest that you get what they call hardware cloth and cover the tops of it and then attach some of that rubber black tubing that they sell to wrap around pipes with (that insulates them from the cold), if you cover the seams with that and any other metal surfaces that the tarp will come in contact with, it won't easily rip. And while you have you hardware cloth out, make about a 2 foot border around the coop at it's base. That way it'll lesson the chance of critters digging under it. Good luck.
if You do not have to chip all the brush, You can use it to build natural fences, where they may be useful. If You pile them up 4 to 5 feet high like a fence, plants and animals will live inside the fence.
Any animal wanting in will just dig under the fence.
Hi it's so good to hear that Gina feeling much better take care an be safe hopefully does Kodi don't let's dig there way under the cage to go after the chicken's 🐔keep your fingers crossed
Being in NH you can hunt those coyotes all year round.
Did I miss it did he say where he purchased the chicken coop from?
Think about using 1" straps maybe 12 inches apart from sides over gable under the tarp to minimize tarp belly under snow load. Nice tractor but it should have had rafters to minimize tarp bellying. Straps will work and it won't add much weight.
May want to look at putting some sort of fencing or welded wire under the roof tarp. I don't see that tarp being enough to keep out a hungry predator
Arms family Farm, Adler Farms, Hidden Hights Farm & Keeping it Dutch all use the game cameras..look on their videos,, or in the see more I know they're listed somewhere. Prayers for Gina!
Are your raised veggie beds made out of galvanized steel and if so, are you concerned that the galvanized coating could leach into the soil and contaminate your vegetables?
1) electric fence 2) chicken wire under the tarp on the chicken coop 3) AR-15s for each family member plus a 12ga and a .270 or higher caliber bolt action for predator control if necessary. 45.70 lever action is fun too if you want, they blow coyotes away quite a lot lol.
Where did you order your chicken tractor from?
I’d go get some of that old barn tin and use that for a roof.
I use a Stealth Cam Reactor it sends pictures right to my phone. I have no issues with it. Sending prayers your way 👍🏻
I am a hunter in Texas. I have found that for myself (Wildgame) cams are the best bang for the buck. I use 4 or 5 different wildgame models. I have used (stealth cam) cams also. I didn't like those. We would sometimes have 10k pics on them if the wind blew all day a couple days.
Your channel is the only one it's freezing up can you fix it please.
What are your plans for nesting boxes?
Great video
What about the bottom ? Anything can get under.
That is a good idea with the fence but it is a portable chicken tractor that might be an issue moving it. Praying for Gina for a speedy recovery.
best wishes gina…. we are rooting for ya……be well!
I hope the metal chicken coop works out and I can't wait to see the new fencing you are waiting on. Take care and God Bless.
How much is that chicken tractor
Looking great always on the go sending gina prayers and hugs!
