Japanese Garden Weekly Work – Episode 4 | Our Japanese Garden Escape

Welcome to another weekly work video at Our Japanese Garden Escape. With such a large garden and huge variety of plants there is always a lot of maintenance work to be done. As winter slowly approaches, more and more tasks need to be completed before the weather sets in and prevents us from doing so. We have always tried to make our Japanese garden a year round garden and whilst the majority of plant species go dormant in winter, we still try to create a nice winter picture and winter garden experience. A large part of this involves cleaning up, cutting back and removing leaves and dead plant life at this time of the year. This week we start to clean up the first of the Japanese maples, tackle the dry creek bed and cut back dried pond plants. Enjoy and happy gardening!
