Landscaping Ideas Using Dwarf Japanese Cedar

Landscaping Ideas Using Dwarf Japanese Cedar – In this video I walk around Pender Nursery and look for plants that would go well with ‘Globosa Nana’ Cryptomeria (Dwarf Japanese Cedar). It is a low maintenance shrub that would work well on a foundation or in a container.

  1. Really enjoyed seeing the shrub in many possible plantings and especially bordering zones!!

  2. Love these type videos. Gives me great ideas for future landscaping projects. Is this nursery in the Raleigh area? Guess it's wholesale and not open to public looks like great healthy plants

  3. Beautiful!!! Love the sunshine ligustrum it’s become a favorite along with loropetalum in our garden. Looking for some inspiration for our winter pots and you have beautiful ideas! 💚💚💚💚💚💚

  4. Thank you, Jim! I just planted 4 of the dwarf japanese cedars and paired them with the hoogendorn holly's……great contrast!

  5. I’ve actually paired this with a variegated pittosporum and a very yellow accented Aucuba in 3 very large half- whisky barrels and the variations in colour, texture and foliage work quite well.

  6. They very nice plants.I planned 4 of them in the front of my porch 17 year ago and only cut them once in 17 years. They are about 4 foot tall and 4 foot wide.I haven't added any fertilizer or anything to them and they are very very healthy. Low low maintenance and makes a beautiful landscaping view.

  7. I planted two cyyptomeria three years ago and was very happy with them. This winter the rabbits (zone 6) ruined the shapes by excessive chewing – so disappointing. Hope they somehow come back! Any advice?
