  1. "did you put linseed-oil on it?" "No". "Why not?" "Because I forgot".
Haha. You two always put a smile on my face. 🙂

  2. I just subscribed and watched my first video. Great ideas, good info and entertaining to watch and listen to the "peanut gallery". I can't wait to watch more!

  3. Which way do you prefer to build the beds?  With the 4 foot piece inside the 12 foot sides (that would give you the true four foot width), or with the 4 foot ends at the outside of the 12 foot sides to give you a true 12 foot length?

  4. If that's white pine, I imagine it will last 1-2 seasons. Treated lumber would last 5-7 years, and is not poisonous to plants or animals like it the old days. Heart redwood, cedar, doug fir,  or locust would last a long, long, time.

  5. First, thanks for such great, practical videos – you all do a wonderful job!
Second, I built my raised beds in a similar fashion, using the inside brace piece on the corners. However, I used 4 foot long 2 by 2's and did not cut them flush. This leaves a post at each corner that's handy for holding up frost protection cloth, attaching trellising, and even a surface to lean on when bending over to plant, weed, etc. Just another idea for others to consider…
    Thanks again!

  6. I love ur videos…i started watching the first vid on making an dry outdoor pizza oven, laughed so hard listening to u and ur wife's commentary while shooting each video, Enjoyed  first the great teaching information on the DIY things u film, but mostly enjoy the humorous dialog between u and ur wife while making the videos. The info. is great, the humor and laughter: priceless!

  7. Drywall screws will rust over time, I would opt for stainless. I use nothing but cordless drills, 18volt on a full charge would be plenty powerful.

  8. Learning never ends this program help viewers
To get ways of reducing cost of food if they are
Ready to soil their hands thanks for your demonstrations

  9. Awesome! You do everything so easy and simple, we love it! Totally inspired us to make raised beds this year! Getting started this weekend actually! We are using some wood from an old chicken coop! Your videos are great!

  10. lol i love how your dog is just suffering to play play play, lol its so cute in a lot of the scenes he's looking so intensely at you and you don't even notice its so commical! thanks for the vid it was awesome!

  11. And all I heared was. "Throw the frizbee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee. Throw the bee."

  12. Always love your videos! One question do you have to sand the wood down before applying the linseed oil? And after applying the oil how long should one wait before assembling the bed? Thanks! Also I love your dogs!

  13. Any pros and cons of corner brackets versus 2×4 for the corners?  I have seen both used but never heard a reason for one versus the other.

  14. The expression on your dog's face when he wants to play Frisbee is priceless. Did you ever try the plastic trek decking boards to make a permanent garden bed?

  15. Great videos Eric. So appreciate the work you do here and helping so many of us. You have made things seem so doable for us who do not know and are afraid to try new things. So appreciate all your help with these wonderful tutorials.

  16. Pressure treated lumber hasn't used arsenic in about 15 years. It's safe. Breathing mechanically circulated air inside your home poses more harm than treated lumber does.

  17. Eric, I have decided you would be nothing without that wonderful sidekick. She is the best part of your videos.

  18. Thanks for the fun video 🙂 Do you bury a portion of the wood? I'd like to use the wood to edge my garden that goes up to concrete but want to build up a wall because I have a slope in the land but want to keep the bed flat – so not a box design.

  19. Bears??!! Holy cow! Why are you outside at all – ever lol I’m in Australia, no bears here but we have other wildlife that’ll kill ya lol
