  1. My fav days are going out for 5 or 6 regulars standard small front and back garden lawns and alittle border and hedges
An going out with a 18 inch izy . A light but powerfull fs 94 stihl . A stihl blower and a stihl hla 66 loaded with a ap100 and a cheeky little gta26 and a hoe and a spade an a pair of burgan ball knee pads an muffs
A Nice and easy light van load just feels easy and low less stress
If they ask for hourly rates just tell them it's 40 or 50 a fornight and you'll do what you do and if its ever not working just let ya know πŸ™‚

  2. I was a builder. 1st private job was only Β£120. After a few years, it was sites and private. Jobs over 1 million each. Yet, I can't lost with divorce, started again, but made more family time. Less money, less stress. A more happy medium πŸ™Œ

  3. I honestly don't understand why so many gardeners on YouTube actively encourage and want new people coming in to there industry to potentially take work / money away from themselves. You wouldn't get it in any other professional.
"Yeah mate. Buy a second hand mower and strimmer and off you go" !
What happens when these new boys with there ebay / Facebook marketplace gear and sod all else in the way of knowledge sets up in your area and poaches your customers buy undercutting you by a fiver a job?
I honestly believe its a very short sighted approach.

  4. That Picasso with the seats out can hold a hell of a lot . They don’t make cars like that any more

  5. Me and my mate are both 17 , we are looking to start a gardening business very locally to where we live as none of us drive at the moment. Plan is just to use a wheelbarrow to move our lawnmower strimmers etc. We have everything we need to get started but its just the advertising side of things.

  6. I think the best thing you can do when you first start out is to learn how to service fix and maintain your equipment . To me there's no point working hard to pay someone else to fix your equipment.. you have the time when you first start and to me its good practice to have a fews hours a week to maintain clean and check over a brocken mower earns no money. Clean it sharpened it service it πŸ‘

  7. Been a great help for me setting up in Northumberland. Next year or two will definitely be getting a van. Cheers for the videos πŸ‘πŸ‘

  8. I invested in stihl battery. It was expensive the rm135. But the rotary head is fantastic. No need for a strimmer. Does hedges and clearing against pavers.

  9. What mm of strimmer line do u use. I need to replace the line in my cobra petrol strimmer and don't know what mm to buy. Can u give me advice please.

  10. Hi, yesterday I started to post my gardening services flyers. I just joined nextdoor neighboir app. How did you get clientd on there? Did you have to make making posts? Or did you join groups and post in there?

  11. From experience if you buy cheap you buy 2 – 3 times spend an extra few pounds and it will last you much longer and all round better finish on the job, if your mowing lawns for instance I would advise at least 6.5hp lawnmower a little 3.75hp to small for gardens full with moss especially first cuts of the season you don't want your mower struggling, but yes lad we all start with what we can afford you can still make money πŸ‘

  12. 13. This has been really good motivation. I work for the council grass cutting etc and have been really wanting to go self employed. Thanks so much for the advice!
