Japanese Garden

Japanese Garden Autumn Tour – Part One | Our Japanese Garden Escape

Join us this week as we take you on the first of two short tours around our Japanese garden to show off all the wonderful autumn colours as they begin to come through. Unlike the previous years when all our maples have turned and coloured at the same time, this year different areas of the garden appear to be changing to their autumn colours at different times. Therefore we thought it would be nice to show you these different stages of change as they happen. Many of our maples are now turning sun yellow, fire orange and blood red whilst others still cling to their lush summer green. Autumn is here and the garden is changing. Enjoy the tour!

  1. Danke für das super schöne Video, noch schöner wäre es wenn die genauen Sortennamen der Ahorne benannt würden, Gruß nach Österreich 🍀🙏🏼

  2. Since most Japanese maples are grafted, the fern leaf (red/orange) is most likely grafted with the green rootstock. If the green rootstock is not pruned, it will eventually take over. You can check this from the grafting point the green part is most likely below the fern leaf.👍🏻

  3. I love the colours! Can you please tell us what kind of Japanese maples they are? I want to create my own Japanese garden, and I am looking for inspiration about what maples I want there. Thanks!

  4. Die Sortennamen wären in der Tat noch das i-Tüpfelchen. Herrlich anzuschauen. Da kann man wirklich ausgiebig lustwandeln. Vielleicht ist bei meinen Videos ja auch noch was Interessantes für Euch dabei. LG aus Hamburg

  5. So beautiful. I love al the different colors put together. What is the latin name of that Plume tree? I have a Prunus Cistena as bonsai and is so beautiful with the bright red leaves and white flowers in spring. When they start to turn redish/purple in midt May, i prune all the branches and the new branches give the tree a second crop og bright red leaves for me to enjoy to late autumn. I have never seen anyone else have the Prunus cistena as bonsai.
