HUGE FLOODS IN PHUKET THAILAND 🇹🇭 What To Do On A Rainy Day ?



Reports say this is the worst floods in Phuket Thailand in 30 years ! With the continued rain & stormy weather in Phuket we had to rearrange our plans and see what we could do on a very rainy day in Phuket.

Luckily the flooding does not enter our business but others are not so lucky, Phuket Town & Patong have been hit very hard with meter high waters at times. Hopefully the rain stops but as i’m writing this now it continues to come down heavy !

1/ Spa
2/ Temple
3/ Shopping
4/ workout or try Muay Thai
5/ watch a show or cinema
6/ kids – aquarium, ice skating, bowling
7/ stay in resort maybe all day session
8/ go to nice restaurant eat drink and watch the bad weather

    Thailand always flood whenever it rains for days. When I was kid, I enjoyed. I just love the weather it’s warm and humid. It doesn’t feel cold on rainy day. In America when it rains it’s cold. I miss Thailand very much so much too much I can’t wait to visit Thailand next year. I needed to save up first.

    I was in Patong in 2012, about June time, and it flooded. Bangla rd was ankle deep. It stayed like that for a good 3-4 days at least. Got into the routine of wading down the road, and then back at the hotel thoroughly washing feet and shoes, as you can bet that there is pretty much everything in the water including what is usually in the drains.
    Not a regular occurrence and certainly shouldn't put people off visiting at any time of the year.

    Hi guys, when it rains the heavens truly open. Not sure if its still there, but we used to take the kids prawn fishing up on Nannia road. Passed an hour or two, kids loved it

    When were you in Koh Samui when you had that rain? I booked a week next month on Koh Samui and recently found out they have a monsoon season in November with huge amounts of rain and frequent blackouts. I've shortened my stay there but I still want to see the island.

    Hi guys, I use to wonder why the sidewalk curbs were so high in Patong and Kata Beach before the first rain hit, this was back in 2003, with the mountain right behind the beach it flooded pretty heavily, especially when it keeps raining for a couple of days. So I don't think much has changed. The food looked great and so did that bread, used to be hard to find, Thais didn't eat it and only a few places had any that was good. Glad Maybelles didn't flood. Be well , hope you're high season is busy!!!😁

    Love the rain, love the monsoon, tropical is the way to go, never a dull moment…………thank goodness for places like Thailand that have an abundance of water and for the most part, manage it pretty damn well (excuse the pun)……………
