  1. This is not the Mediterranean Tony. Don't go catching your death, we need you. But thanks for the giggles. Corn…in rows…?! 🤯

  2. Maybe try the outside tomatoes in that slice of garden bed down the side of the polytunnel? or put up a trellis and grow your beans there? Did your daughter ever take the plunge??? Brrrr….

  3. wild swimming?…
    WILD SWIMMING!?… 😮
I thought I heard right the 1st time, I was more interested than that than yr gardening tips, so funny. Hope yr giblets recover Mr. Bravado to all 3 of u! 🤓👍🌱

  4. I've said it before and I'll say it again,Tony man, I love your vids and the off the cuff potty mouth always makes me laugh. But as for the crown jewels………..

  5. Wild swimming is the way. My wife started last summer, I’ve just joined her. Had an amazing day in the Lake District yesterday. You need a dry robe 😂

  6. WILD SWIMMING???? I nearly wet me self!!! Lol.
Howay man Tony, act your age and not your shoe size!!
Just joking mate, whatever floats your boat! The allotment is looking fine & dandy 😀

  7. On the left side of the pond we plant beans in with corn – corn becomes the trellis and beans become the living shade mulch for the ground. Win/win

  8. Tony, have you ever trimmed the tops of the onions? Some say to trim them to get the bulbs bigger. Any thoughts or experience on that.

  9. I heard you say wild swimming Tony. But, I thought you meant in the nude! That’s what we call it here. 😎 oh to swim in the sea again.

  10. I grow yellow pear every year, very nice and all my tomatoes do well outside. They just take a little longer to ripen. 👍

  11. You could do some arches between beds (over the path) so you only need one side of the bed for the beans, and you can still walk under the archways. Saves bed space! Jessie from plot 37 does something like that.

  12. Hi Tony, jumping into the icy water so early will certainly wake you up, or give you a heart attack if it’s cold enough! My lake is still way to cold to try anything like that! Lol as for that lovely corn, good luck with it! If you are thinking of planting it inside the poly tunnel in a line, it might not be the best of ideas. Corn is usually planted in a square and outdoors to help with the wind pollination. A square grouping helps insure that the wind can move the pollen to all of the corn stalks. With your green thumbs, no matter where you put them , I’m sure you’ll be able to grown it fine. Good luck to you.

  13. I'll take your word that the wild swimming is good .. quite a few do it in Whitley Bay too and Tynemouth.
I laughed the other day when I saw several wearing normal swimming costumes but with gloves on, seems pointless to me. However, a diver friend says the body regulates the core temperature, so the extremities can become very cold .. hence the gloves.

  14. Thanks Tony, mine gave just germinated, hope as good as your, I'm new to allotment, thanks for all the Springtime allotment information map, it's certainly been a help, and I love your voice.

  15. I don't think this would work for you in the allotment, but we plant three corn kernals per hole. They kind-of support each other as they grow and aren;t so apt to blow over here in our prairie's-edge garden.
I loved the part with you talking about your invigorating swim!!
