How about watering?
Hi, Anita — I didn't water it right away because it's easier to transport if the soil isn't wet. A light spray from a hose is ideal for washing any soil off leaves and settling the soil. Succulents don't need many roots, so any root balls exposed to the air will be fine, and over time will become established in the pot. I planted this densely to make a floral-style arrangement, but at any time I could have stopped—as the plants grow they will fill any gaps. — Debra
