  1. Make sure NOT to buy CLUMPING litter. I’m pretty sure that would be a problem….and 25 lbs of clumping will cost way more then $5. Lol.

  2. Very interesting. I don't use cat litter in my plants but I use used cat litter in my cactus. It works wonders. I will try it on my plants. It looks pretty 🐱. Thanks 👍

  3. What are your thoughts about using one gallon water bottles instead of pictures just cut the top off and turn it upside down definitely put the holes in it and then fill it with your dying and dead leaves? And I just ordered up a bag of Kitty litter thank you

  4. Thanks Robbie, I miss my gardening days 😢 your garden and your voice somehow has a calming effect.

  5. Fantastic !! Thank you so much !! Love all your tips and tricks, your amazing, thank you ! Stay well you two.

  6. I live in the Rocky Mountains. Do the solar fountains become damaged when temperatures drop below freezing? I think so.

  7. Birmingham, Ala 10-17-22 went to 38º and tonight – 32º. It will be back in the 80's next week but I am afraid my tomatoes may not survive. It was your encouragement that gave me the energy to try some of your ideas. I only had 3 totes but I got 3 peppermint plants in the ground and have given them compost tea. I am looking forward to next spring with your inspiration. Thank you and God Bless you and Gary.♥

  8. greetings, so is it kitty litter first then soil then more kitty litter and do you push the stem all the way down until it touches the kitty litter? have you tried all different kinds of mediums to propagate in and which do you prefer and can you show us a before an after of the roots? thank you

  9. I am enjoying watching your videos today . It has turned chilly and tonight we are expecting a possible light frost . Then we will warm back up to about 84 the next few days . Fickle Fall weather in Oklahoma . My cool weather crops are loving it but not me or the chickens .

  10. Geezzz, I never would have about using cat litter. Thank you for sharing you genius ideas! I will be trying this in the spring. My winter projects will be getting my cups ready and making tote lids like yours.

  11. My dirt here is sandy clay, or clay-y sand. Anyways, I have noticed that it grows very well. It just needs to be broken apart and needs organic matter. For my seeds and cuttings, I use coco-coir and some of my dirt. I used to think it was too heavy but plants seem to enjoy growing through it.

  12. Yes grit is different to cat litter, I buy wood pellets for my cat litter tray, it goes into my compost bin, minus the 💩, I love gardeners world, I'm glad you watch it x

  13. What a coincidence – I recently bought 2 bags of WMart clay litter by mistake. For $5 I decided to keep it rather than lug it back to the store – thinking there must be some use for it. Now I know what to use some of it for. thanks

  14. I'm propagating my tomatoes now and that's sooo clever! I can use my cat's litter 👏 my Kales are small to propagate them but I definitely do it. It saves money and time!!!! Thank you so much Robbie for sharing this tip❣️🌻 Always a pleasure to see you and hearing you. You are giving me so much courage and confidence to do things ❤️ Please take care 🙏

  15. I have leftover vermiculite – will that work as well as the kitty litter ? I think it absorbs water too

  16. hi robbie 🤗
due to the horribly dry weather in zone 10, would this work as a soil additive in my raised beds to help retain moisture throughout the growing seasons?
if so, how much kitty litter would i mix into a 4' x 4' x 10" raised bed? thanks.

  17. Great idea. You always come up with a cheaper way to do things, which in todays economy is awesome.

  18. I've used ground pumice to act as a barricade for fungus gnats. I'm going to try and use the cat litter, which is much less expensive, and see if that acts as a barricade for fungus gnats. Great idea about the cat litter. Thank you.

  19. Kitty litter who knew. Your and Gary are amazing with your inventions or solutions for our problems in the garden. Thanks for sharing.. Hello to kitty.

  21. Wow Robie , i love the cup idea. I help my mother do her guava trees and we run out of tiny square cups to fit in trays. Oh and ima tell her about kitty litter thats a bonus for her and i. Thanks so much.

  22. I love this idea. I want to start taking cuttings from my plants that survived the hurricane. I want to do my Stevia first….it has started to throw flowers. Thanks for sharing all your neat tricks. I’m definitely trying this one. Have a great afternoon.🤗
