FYI my bad It’s actually only 3% of an acre! Not 1/3. Even crazier! You guys can do this too, folks. You really can.

  1. Just this one video alone makes me want to get out in my yard plant more things and film it!!! Great job on this video! But it’s hard not to have a quality video when you have so much abundant life around you!!! Also where you knowledgeable about all those plants prior to visiting them or is it something you have been picking up interacting with the family? And what is your favorite plant from their front yard garden beds?

  2. I love the expression: “start now, where you are, with what you’ve got…” I have a very small apartment In a city. I tried last year to grow tomatoes and peppers In two containers, and it didn’t work. This year I tried sprouting broccoli seeds in a quart mason jar. One jar from start to harvest in 6 days! I’m rotating six jars now. It’s not a lot, but it’s home grown, very nutritious, and cheap (and a bunch of fun!) Not as impressive as Justin’s homestead, but it’s a start!

  3. If I were 32 years younger I would come find you! LOL You are an awesome young man. Don't forget to save time to find a god given help mate. You have a dream. Save some time to find someone. I wish I would have married a farmer when I was your age. God bless. And yes, I came over from the Rhodes channel.

  4. Love watching Justin and now I have you! Best wishes on your channel. I’ll also give you a shout out. May you be blessed! 💙💛🙏

  6. I’m interested in watching your progress please keep posting videos. Justin is the best guy to learn from, I’ve watched his family for years. He’s a big U tuber for a good reason. Let him tell you how to keep your subscribers interested and curious. He’s my favourite content creator. I wish you all the best 💖

  7. Hey Garden Guy, it's great to see another homesteader/gardener on Youtube and I hope your channel takes off. We live in a small town near a big city, and have a modest back yard. I dream of some day having 20 acres somewhere. Anyway my kid and I already built one 4×8 raised bed two feet high with hugelkultur and it's been very successful. For the first time I was able to actually grow radishes! The carrots are taking their time, however. I've also learned something else: zucchini and yellow squash WILL TAKE OVER. I'm hoping to build a second one this fall or next spring, and double our output. Also we have about 15 potato plants and about 10-12 buckets on the deck growing all sorts of herbs & veggies. Next spring I'm hoping to make a coop and get a few meat chickens — don't know exactly where we'll store them after the harvest but we'll figure it out. Wish I'd learned to do all this 20 years ago but better late than never 🙂

  8. Your such a natural at vlogs🤩 I can’t wait to see more from you 🥰. Hi from Australia NSW Lisarow 😁🥳🇦🇺

  9. Good first video! It is noticeable that it is becoming fall and Justin will soon have the winter garden ready to plant From the greenhouse.

  10. If I remember right.. That tomato plant with the hydrangea was a volunteer. Ben you should do like Justin and build yourself a tiny home in a van and travel to farms in the US. I'll watch!
