  1. You did such a great job for your 1st year❤❤❤!!!! This is our 2nd year of have a orchard and garden and it has been HARD work! Thank God my hubby and I work together, 1 person is way too hard.

  2. You and your husband did a really beautiful job on backyard layout. I'm always inspired by your videos. You have my vote for Youtube's happiest gardening channel. You always look like you're about to crack up, and it's contagious! Your poor kids have probably never won a staring contest in their lives!
3:05 Yup, that looks like spidermites, and possibly thrips. Check the underside of the leaves for bugs and webbing. With the heat setting in, the bug population is going to explode exponentially. This is where high density planting starts to get ugly. Just stay ahead of the pests with regular spraying and all your hard work will pay off. It's very time consuming, and can get expensive, but very necessary. Keep up all the great work!

  3. Daisy!! You did a great job!! I love watching your videos, you are so entertaining. I'm 71 yrs old and been gardening it seems forever and I'm still learning and enjoying it. A rat is probably eating one of my biggest Dr Wyche tomatoes as I type this comment. That's gardening!! Your garden is beautiful and thank you for sharing it with us.

  4. Something I learned from a youtube gardener who lives in Florida (I can't remember her name) is to spray your plants at night with a spray of 50 percent water and 50 percent neem spray to prevent insect or fungal issues. Where I live the summers are very hot and humid so this has been extremely helpful.

  5. New fan here! I love your garden and I'm in 9b zone in SoCal. I've learned that root veggies do not do well in my heat and for me do better in the fall and late winter into early spring. I've tried with many different varieties and none have done well. Thanks for sharing your garden.

  6. Garden is looking great! I started my garden this spring, like you I’m experimenting. Even planting some veggies and herbs from seed just to see what happens even though I know I won’t harvest anything. Been so fun! Yes, everyone should have some kind of garden, so rewarding and relaxing and fun!

  7. I found your channel since I’m finally tackling my garden beds. I have the similar layout as yours but I felt so overwhelmed how I organize the plants. You made it look so beautiful and I’m excited to start next week. Love how to incorporate flowers

  8. For hot weather gardening it seems to help to plant them close together and plant a lot. Keep on gardening. Its so challenging when its over 100 degrees everyday, but keep on planting those seeds. I cant wait to plant for fall. Our summer is like other people's winter when it comes to gardening. Extreme temps will kill the plants. The zinnias and sunflowers are beautiful.

  9. what a beautiful harvest , I have been a gardner for 10 years now and I'm imprest of Your garden. I had also a big harvest in my garden aspecialy zcchucini and corn. Step by to my channel and tell me what You think 🙂 @

  10. Diatomaceous Earth works extremely well for spider mites put liberally on the whole plant back and front of 🍃 leaves I was getting lots of spider mites on my tomatoes and eggplants and cucumbers 🥒 so it really helped you made need to apply twice and don’t breath in the dust.
