  1. I did manage to save two of potted blueberries but the one that died I THINK was the “male.” I’m not sure how it works. According to Baker Creek where I got them ya had to have both types to produce berries. I have three now. One I got at Walmart on sale and it had a few berries when I got it. My original two…idk. They look great now as far as health but if I don’t get berries next year I’ll have to get another Top Hat which was the one that died. Just have to see. Anywhooooo…yours are AWESOME! I wish I had those. I love blueberries and bing cherries. My favorite fruits. Just snagged a bag of bings from the store yesterday as a matter of fact. I’d love to grow those. Yum!
TFS! Love, hugs and blessings ~ The Kid! ♥️♥️♥️

  2. Canning potatoes is on my next to do list. Do you have any luck growing okra in your region? I see you are growing lots of things that are more suited for warmer climates and having great success. My calendula is pathetic. We are having a terrible heat wave here and lots of things are just not happy.

  3. thank you for the tip on blueberries…I was wondering how you kept them looking so nice and green with all that rain..in containers..:)

  4. I need to know how big the pots are that you have the Blueberries in and you didn't talk about watering needs either.

  5. Great video Heidi your blueberries and grapes are looking really well I have a question do you have a video of you canning on the cooker on the back porch I have the same canner and I've never Canned on one of the propane cooker you have, just wondering if you could make a video like that thank you so much have a blessed day

  6. Everything is grown so nice. You put so much love into it. I love to see your videos about canning…..stay blessed….MINDY

  7. Great video Heidi. Your plants and garden are wonderful. ❤ 😀 It is hard to keep plants alive here through the winter in Nova Scotia with so much freeze and thaw. Would it be possible for you to do a pruning video on your blueberries and grapes when it comes time?

  8. I've got blueberries and blackberry bushes in raised beds but thinking I'm gonna move to ground this fall! It is just so hot and dry here in tx!!! We also have ants and they are hard to keep out of pots…and beds, compost, your house etc!!!! Do you not have issues with ants getting into your banana peels you throw on?

  9. If you get an empty container you should think about a dwarf lemon or lime. You will have to bring them in for the winter to finish, and mine had some long, sharp thorns on them, but they did good for me.
I would think you would like them. I tried mine in the ground one winter just to see if it would make it. It didn't. But they are fairly cheap so I didn't mind taking the chance on it. That is in Mississippi where Winters are unpredictable.

  10. OK, you have finally convinced me to plant my last two blueberry plants, which I just got for half price, in pots! I just can't seem to get my blueberries to grow past my knees!!!☹️ So in pots they go and lots more TLC they'll get!

  11. Hi Heidi, I am wondering if you have automatic watering for your pots and garden?

  12. Heidi, those blueberries look wonderful! what zone are you in? we are zone 4 can we put blueberries in a pot like that as well? Our blueberries don't do well in the ground here. We have a lot of clay in our soil.

  13. What a beautiful garden. I disnt know you could container blueberries. Hmmm. This could be my next project. lol. I can "hear" my husband eye rolling at yet another project. Yes..grapes grow even up by the big lake in Ohio, so if guess they'd do well in your neck of the woods too. I id'd a wild grape Sunday at a jobsite that I shall ask the owner if he'd like me to remove it. (most here call them a nuisance) May God bless you abundantly Heidi. You vids brighten my days.

  14. Hi Heidi, Wow!! I am so impressed with your container gardening skills!! It’s a tough thing to do here in central Texas but I try!! I like all your tips about what to add to the pots for good plant nutrition. I have been using the coffee grounds…but you gave me so many more great ideas for using our banana peels and spent tea bags!! Thanks for sharing so many wonderful tips!! Love, Mary ❤️😘❤️

  15. What am amazing backyard! I think your deck is beautiful. And to be able to pick, preserve & eat from your backyard is truly a blessing. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  16. Grapes are a full time job here but we cannot grow blueberries everything looks beautiful

  17. I picked up 4 blueberry bushes last year.. never got around to replanting them into big pots…actually going to do it today…its been staying in the 40s ..during the day…was going to ask about sun…and just heard you say…lol

  18. I have never fertilized my blueberry s but there not very big berries I probably need to I get lots of blueberries

  19. YAY you had this link (can't believe I hadn't seen yet) in latest tips video and I am waiting for 2 more pots to plant our blueberries in!! Needed this video!!! Kristy in Missouri 🙂

  20. When can you start pick the blueberries leaves for tea? Can you eat the grapes leaves as well? I think you can but just want to double check . thank you again for your teaching

  21. I have a couple of questions…Do you have issues with Japanese beetles, if so what do you do? They have destroyed my red grapes and my whites are on their way out. I have tried the traps. When you put blood meal on your blueberries, do you sprinkle on the top? Is a handful too much? Approx. what size is your pot? They look very small compared to mine. I am wondering if mine are in too big of a pot. I have had blueberries for 2 years and had about 5 blueberries from one and none from the other.
