Hi friends, Its Udhaya from Backyard Garden Highlights, Hillsborough NJ ZONE 6B. I went to Lowes garden center and noticed first time that they are also selling Onion sets, seed potatoes, & Garlic heads for planting. I’ve grabbed couple of onion sets (red & yellow). It is good to plant these in fall so you get nice and big onions in next summer. Unfortunately, I couldn’t plant them last fall. I wanted to try spring planting this year and gain some experience out of it. I didn’t water them well last year and didn’t get great harvest though!. Hoping to get my drip irrigation set up done this year, so I can have better harvest. In this video, I’m sharing an update on preparing the bed for planting onions. I have Bachelor button and Holly hock plants in this bed that I’m going to move it to flower bed! Please Like, Share, Comment, Subscribe and press the bell icon for instant updates. I thank everyone who supports my channel.

Great root growth! They're going to be beautiful hollyhocks!
Such nice healthy roots!! We have alot of deer in my yard also. In fact, I just came in from spraying my tulips with repellant. Hopefully they are more protected in your new bed and planting space.
Nice Shering 👍

Hi 👋 I’m really looking forward to seeing how this flower bed looks in summer 😊. I can see you’ve got a good plan for your garden. Nice one my lovely. Leanne 🧄🐝🌸🥬🥕🌻🌶🌺
Hello my friend!! Oh what a shame the deer ate it! It’s always a battle to get plants raised with so many pests around!! Yes that’s a really large tap root!! That will draw minerals up from deep in the ground!! Looking forward to seeing how it all blooms lovely!! Take care 💓🙏💐🤩🌻

Wow.those plants looks really good and healthy.. 😍
Mashallah great video beautiful
Nice work Udhaya and the video is really helpful!
Hi Udhaya, your roots are amazing on the 1-year old plants. Sorry to hear your deer are eating them. Moving them sounds like the right choice 👍🏻 I have to put the veggies that the deer like in my high raised beds. My garden is not fenced and they think my low raised beds are the perfect height for grazing!
Really enjoyed your video Udhaya and your garden looks great. Roots on some of the Hollyhocks are massive! Shame about the deer damaging your plants. We have to enclose our garden with wire netting to keep out deer and rabbits. Best Wishes, Paul.

The deer in your area has developed a special appetite for this particular holly hock, because it was grown with much love and special care🙂
I always wonder what a deer in a home garden looks like🦌 I cannot imagine looking out in my garden and seeing a giant animal with horns eating my plants😬
I find your work in this video very inspiring👍🏾It reminds me of all the transplanting I still have to do. And watching you do yours so lovingly shows that we can get it done one plant at a time👏🏾
Thanks for sharing💚

So excited to grow hollyhocks and bachelor buttons for the first time! So great to see you able to get into the soil. I am 6a and we are just a bit behind you.
Those deer must be hungry! 😆😆😆 how frustrating! I can’t believe those roots! How wonderful! 💗
Nice sharing
Incredible root growth from that one plant. It made it a little difficult to replant since the root was like 2 feet long. I bet it will be a really strong plant.
