U helped saved my life once 10 years ago, keweenaw county michigan. I had my 12 yr old boy with me in an area I hunted 30 years that 4 weeks a yr u mention most hunters r in the bush. Nothing like u explain in ur commentaries. Got turned around, blizzard was upon us when I figured we would be out. Windscreaming couldnt hear vehicles, or snow plows. A quick morning deer drive turned out to be an overnight. Half a jar of home aid pickle and 2 pieces of jerky. And matches in the but of my rifle. With gun oil and a couple cleaning patches. Got a squirl, had a birch bark fire, come day break, we were 30 yards from pickup, the opposite side of it. We did a full circle, atleast twice, the lake effect snow came down so fast in feet that it was unrecognizable and no tracks. Kept my head, didnt lie to my boy, today he is an outdoor bush man and actually does the most dangerous job in the world. Hes a crabber on the berring sea so he can be in da bush all over the these western countries. U had a big part in this too. We love u here in the upper peninsula, keweenaw county MI. Offer is U get ahold of me, and sneak here to check it out one day, I will hide ya. Or introduce u to the proper people that you need.
@reallesstroud – your foraging advice always includes hands on training from local experts… wanted to mention Forage City London (the ‘Forest City’ as you know). A fantastic example of local foraging expertise & guidance and community building. Check ‘em out if you get the chance.

Seeing Les stroud indoors is still weird and unusual to me.
Lol on the other hand this is Oregon lol
Usually people are like, "He's the greatest of all time!" But I'm like… No, he's an actual goat. 😆
True soy
I appreciate your creative teaching!
Thank you 🌈🤗
Thank you guys.
Les, a monarch catapillar lived on my parsley once and I brought it inside and put it on a deer horn mount to hatch safely.
For some reason my Oregon PBS station isn't airing your second season. How can I watch it?
Cool🍷
Canadian GOLD
On the other hand. 👌
What I wouldn't give to spend a summer with Les. Or, a winter.
Like the woods looks beautiful.
