Join Michigan-based astrophotographer Jason Guenzel as he recounts his journey into the expansive world of astrophotography.
From a humble start with his suburban backyard telescope to world-class, award-winning images, he has the experience in equipment, techniques and processes to make this presentation interesting to beginners through experienced photographers.
He will share his knowledge of several niches of astronomy imaging, including deep sky, solar, lunar, planetary, nightscape, and more. Learn what goes into planning, shooting, and editing a successful session. Hear about his approach to producing and sharing this photography of the cosmos as a form of public outreach.
This presentation is aimed at inspiring the astrophotographer (regardless of skill level) to get out, shoot, and share with renewed excitement, curiosity, and hopefully fresh ideas.
