ARTHOUSE

Arthouse is one of our most ambitious projects and the most artistic house tour ever.

The house initially was planned to be residential but later on turned into a museum and display showroom for prestigious pieces and niche artists and designers. While the project was designed to be built, there were also many interested parties to use it as a web3 material and virtual space for exhibitions and meetings.

Its brutalist and modern nature was intentionally chosen in order to not get in front of the art pieces and materials that are on display. The house axies are working together with the topography and the context in order to embrace the site conditions and really expose the feeling of belonging to a location and a place.

Because this project was initially designed for real life, Sustainability is a manner we always try to put on front in our retahouse designs but in Arthouse project we expanded on the idea and tried to use and propose native materials that could be recycled later on or the other way around where it could be used as new elements.

Context is the leading factor in this project. Arthouse design has an attitude of playing well with the surroundings. It aims to sit on the land without disturbing any existing elements. The concept was requested by a family of four. A single-family residence with separate wings that are connected with one big massing unit that functions as the common spaces.

Structural studies were a bit of a challenge, it was very vital not to crowd the project with columns and other supporting tools while maintaining a cantilevering effect. Adjusting their views and sunlight placement through the axis was a big success in this project.
