Front Yard Garden

Landscape that provides Seclusion in an Urban Setting | Volunteer Gardener

Marty DeHart gives us a detailed tour of a landscape she designed. The client wanted to experience a sense of seclusion from the close neighbors, wasn’t big on flowers, and needed a dog-friendly space. This design contains quite a stellar plant palette in which to draw inspiration. To WATCH full episodes, visit http://www.volunteergardener.org

  1. I am so impressed with this designer ( I’m also a designer). Her plant knowledge is fantastic and her passion for plants is apparent! So often on YouTube self proclaimed landscape designers focus on making money. Hope I am able to find more of her work on YouTube.

  2. Wow what a beautiful yard and the work you did in planting all these pretty trees!!! How far apart did you plant the emerald green aborvitaes and green giant and what was the size of these two plants when you put them in ground? Enjoyed watching this video! Thank you for sharing!

  14. Is there a way to see the planting diagram for this beautiful yard space? So amazing what you've done here. This is a beautiful outdoor room.

  15. I love the dimension you’ve added to what you described a flat area… very similar to what I’ve been researching to do with my 200+ x60 area… I like that coral bark you have in the center… I’ve been looking for trees that add privacy but still allow some light… love your work!
