Well, I found a traditional garden tool (A Western version of the Japanese Hori Hori garden implement) that fit perfectly in my scheme of detecting but it would bend due to the torque required for deeper finds. And I saw the Titanium tag and for a 15 dollar investment I figure it is worth a try.

Mom and I used some tools similar to that in the beginning. They were by a brand that started with an "F". We broke several at the handle before we dicided to switch to lesches. Hoping the titanium makes the difference!
