Columbine needs a cold period to germinate-they will probably just sit there until they go through winter. You can also try cold stratification and see if they come up any earlier.
Janey, your front garden is looking so beautiful, and the plants are definitely loving the cooler fall weather. When you showed your cut flower garden, I couldn't help but notice the two different colors of the fence in the background. Maybe your neighbor would allow you to stain that small section to match your side. Both properties, yours and theirs, would look better from the street view if those fence sections matched. It wouldn't hurt to ask. I always enjoy your videos! ~Margie๐ค๐๐๐๐ฆ
I live in zone 9a how did u get your cyclamen to come back? Mine hasn't returned๐
Hi Janey. Iโve seen plumbagos trimmed pretty hard to form a hedge. What if you pruned yours to keep the shape of a sphere? Just a suggestion to save your beautiful plumbago. ๐
The annual border is still looking pretty and it's almost November!!! Great Job!
White vinca also re seeds love it ๐๐๐
Hi Janet, those โweedsโ under the oak look like millet from a bird feeder to me. You might want to check and see if that matches.
Everything looks good and pretty, i cant wait for the Monster to go!!!
In zone 4, we can sow columbine seeds in the fall and leave them all winter for new spring germination. Maybe your seeds need a chill period?
I love that plumbago there. You might like the soft untamed look more once your monster plant is gone. I think it really softens that area and provides a bit of a visual block so you have some mystery about what is beyond.
Great sharing my friend watching here no skip.
Congrats on 20,000 subscribers!!! Loved the garden tour, everything looks so pretty.
Columbine seeds need a cold period in the refrigerator
Arent all annuals perennials for you in your zone?
Are those seedlings WINTER WEED HENBIT WITH A WHITE ROOT IF SO VERY INVASIVE CHECK OUT WINTER WEED HENBIT…. Beautiful tour!!!!
Hip, hip, hooray Janey for getting 20,000 subscribers!! ๐ Imagine an arena filled with that many people cheering you on!! Enjoy this HUGE accomplishment ๐
You can return the sedum or any plant you get from Home Depot online or in store. They have an amazing return policy, just dig out the plant and put it back in its original container and take it to Home Depot and they will refund you no questions asked if your plant doesnโt survive! Especially since some of them already arrived dead. You should totally get your money back!
I can't tell you how many times a dead plant on my porch has fit right into my Halloween decor, LOL! I LOVE your "Halloween Monster!"
Girl idk how you get things to grow so pretty that aren't for your zone. Everything I read about a Wichita Blue Juniper say zone 3-7. I guess your dry climate allows for it. We have a lot of humidity here in my Zone 9 in Texas. Our Summer nights here are in the high 70's with humidity in the high 90's.
Gardens still look beautiful! TFS.
Hi Janey! Is it possible that the little seedlings in the Oak tree garden bed are from the plumbagos that you ripped out? ๐ค
Do you tend to stay away from red, orange, and yellow flowers?
