  1. How odd…KGW forgets to mention that woke tard Wheeler is RESPONSIBLE for the homelessness problem to begin with🤣🖕🏽

  2. Why g a yy flags in government offices? The government should be independent from anything including religious, race or any sexual groups…Vote ❤ folks

  3. Affordable housing for homeless? Wait, they don't want to work in the first place so who's going to pay for this?

I can tell you from experience, mental health cannot be cured with a snap of a finger or by throwing money at it. I provided all the tools available that money can buy to my wife about her emotional problems. I kept paying till the day of our divorce (she left me) and till the day she passed.

You're living in a dream world if you think money will cure mental illness. The patient is the only one that can cure themselves, not someone handing out freebies.

  4. I seem to recall something about 10 years to end homelessness a while back ago, what happened to that? Don't you think you've had enough time to figure it out? I think you're done.

  5. Whether this is a good or bad decision aside, I wonder what’s going to happen when you put the city’s population of criminals, drug addicts, and people with serious mental heath issues into large camps where these populations are concentrated. Happy they are finally making it illegal to camp on the street(MUCH NEEDED and was totally unfair to law abiding tax payers in Portland this was not done sooner), but I have a feeling this is going to have a Escape from NYC type ending.

  6. I say we pull a Ron DeSantis and bus these people to Seattle, in addition to making street camping illegal.

  7. Portland is finished. It won't come back until all those progressive Antifa-loving nuts decide to leave.

  8. What will you do with those who don't want to live in a house? Or those who refuse to get clean at a rehab facility? Or those who are severely mentally ill and can't make a decision to help themselves?

  9. After all this time Wheeler has "decided" to build three tent city SKID ROWS…they will not be happy until we are California..We MUST not keep voting for these Insanely INEPT Politicians…The Dems are attempting to get these 'Campers" out of our line of sight until after the Governors race…and then they will continue to expand the homeless industrial complex,

  10. 100 to 150 people equals one small town or village. give everyone a title, a role to fulfill, to make the town a success.

  11. How about rational rent control asap, too? Otherwise it'll only get worse, no matter what you do. Housing needs to be dealt with like a utility, or nonprofit.

  12. He's had all this time to do these things but instead he caved to the woke degenerates.

  13. As a long time homeless person on the streets of Portland Oregon, I feel this is just election hype. Camps yes, but the people of Portland desperately need immigrants for the ground level work. If you listen hard enough, you can almost hear that familiar can being kicked down the road. Staffing shortage should apply to this situation as well as other government agencies yelping about the same thing. If this goes down it won't be a humanitarian effort. And yes,the city does need to do something about this lousy crisis. Judges will get sick of seeing incredible amount of vagrants. I hope they don't turn Portland into what Detroit went through some years back. Sometimes it just takes blue-collar thinking to help manage things. And Portland Oregon damn sure don't have that.

  14. SHUT UP STOP RAISING THE COST OF LIVING U GREEDY MFER ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY MONEY MONEY U GUYS GO HOME TO UR WARM HOMES WHILE THE HOMELESS FREEZE IN TENTS U MAKE ME SICK

  15. These camps need to go into the wealthier neighborhoods where the white demos live. They voted for the woke policies that have allowed the homeless to take over the city.

  16. Rent control I know many people that were priced out of their apartment and rental property and on top of that some had cars stolen or catalytic converters cut off their cars and missed work and even fired. Something needed to be done along time ago but all he is doing is talking because there is never no actions taken. Im surprised this even had a comment section because they are all usually turned off because they don't want to hear what we have to say.

  17. Property owners complaining about the homeless are the same property owners who jacked the rent up so high and made it impossible to pay.

  18. "Strongly urging people to move" to campsites? Is this a joke? As long as they have the option not to, they wont. They have to make sidewalk camping illegal once and for all, like they did in Amsterdam.

  19. Hunger eliminated with food, homelessness with housing, housing for all mandate gies an address for mental emotional physical med health prevention & care.

  20. Ok, I'm just going to repeat myself here. Portland, put a homeless person in charge if you want this to get solved. No one else has a F'n clue what's actually needed — and what isn't.
