That's so cool, I didn't know they had five way trees, it would be so cool to have different varities of pear on one tree, good luck and happy growing! 🙂
I love your grafted tree ! I took a class this weekend on grafting and can't wait to get going !
Thanks so much for the tips Misilla, especially the one about planting depth for dwarf trees. I'll be planting a dwarf Asian Pear tree this weekend, and I could have easily planted it too deep. Thanks!
Great little orchard!
Lots of great tips! We plant trees a bit different here, mostly we plant everything high. So the top of the root structure is about 2" above the surrounding soil. Taper the fill soil to the root ball, no dirt on top saving that for mulch.
Thanks for the video!
I noticed that the variety tags are very tight against the limbs. You should loosen them up, so that they don't girdle/damage the tree.
Looks amazing.
Very helpful and well done.
Awesome! thanks for posting.
Hi – Liked your video very much and found it helpful. I would like to try to grow dwarf acacia trees for my south african miniature railway. Would I use rootstock from, say, a genetically dwarfed tree and then graft a branch of an acacia into it? Would this have the possibility of working?
Nice video keep up the good work! I Have subscribed! check out my channel as we just starting our first orchard in New Zealand. Subscribe to keep up with what we are up to aswel!! thanks
